Education helps in grooming the personality of the child and spiritual education goes a long way in achieving this objective. Keeping this objective in mind, The Kalgidhar Trust has set-up 129 low-cost CBSE schools in the rural pockets of Northern India.
These academies have been providing the low-cost modern and value based education to around 60,000 students. These Modern Gurukuls of education are spread across the backward and hilly areas of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
The students are ingrained with the belief in divinity. The scientific education imparts the reasoning capabilities to the child while the spiritual education grooms the child into a better human. The child is groomed in the best of environments.
Our inclusive schooling leads to an educational system that grooms the children into the citizens and builds a strong resistance towards social evils.
Our aim is to spread quality education to all parts of the rural area. We are planning to take education to the grassroots and intend to start 500 value based modern scientific schools by 2020.
When such school is available within 10-15 Kms in rural north India the rural India will also have an opportunity to come at par with their peers in the modern city.
The Kalgidhar Trust aspires to ripple out its goodness to the hundreds of other Akal Academies in rural and semi-urban areas. In the coming years, this chain of academies will continue to evolve and revolutionize rural education through the medium of value based education.
