Sant Attar Singh Ji” laid the foundation stone of Gurudwara Shri Nanaksar Sahib, Cheema in 1911. Sangat requested him that, this place should be named by “Attarsar”, but Sant ji said that Guru Nank Dev ji came here and this place is a procreation of Guru Nanak Dev ji. So it should be named as ‘Nanaksar’. Sant Teja Singh ji maintained all the services whole-heartedly with the help of Sadh Sangat, a big sarowar, a langar hall and accommodations were constructed there. A Gurmat Vidiyalya was also constructed where the students learn Gurbani, Shabad Kirtan. After the construction of Gurudwara Nanaksar, Sant Teja Singh constructed Gurudwara Janam Asthan.

With the help of sangat, Baba Iqbal Singh started sewa of renovating the Darbar Sahib in 2010. The renovation is still going on and the sangat from nearby villages participate in sewa. The height of Darbar Sahib is about 151 feet, whose ceiling is completed. One main dome and 3 small domes, arcs of doors have been completed. Now, the arch of 4 domes and finishing work is going on.
