Student and staff of Akal Academy Gomtipul celebrated the birth anniversary of forth Sikh guru Shri Guru Ramdas ji. The celebration began after the daily routine of Nitnem in the Darbar sahib. Mr. Harpreet Singh ( Punjab teacher) told the student about the life of Guru sahib and his great deeds for the entire community. Next to him girls of class 9th sang a shabad on harmonium.
The whole Darbar was filled with the vibrations of hymns sung by them. Gurleen Kaur of class 9th delivered a speech enlightening the life story of Guru Sahib. Boys of class 10th sang a kavishri, narrating the greatness of our Guru Sahib, also the girls of class 11th performed Shabad Kirtan, which made everyone to be showered with the blessings of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji. At the end Ardass was performed and Hukumnama was taken by the student of class 7th.
The whole program was conducted for about 1 hour in the presence of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji, in the supervision of music teacher Mr. Surinder pal Singh. Student of class 6thto 12th were present during this whole ceremony.
