The song had a powerful message: &#8216;Seva Nu Lagda Meva, Chal Seva Kariye,&#8217; which means &#8216;Selfless service reaps fruition, so let&#8217;s perform selfless service.&#8217; This song, based on the core Sikh principle of &#8216;Sarbat da Bhalla&#8217; or the common good of all, was much more than just music; it was a call to action.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Sikh_Study_Circle_and_Film_Education\"><\/span>Sikh Study Circle and Film Education<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;At the New England Sikh Study Circle Gurdwara,&#8221; Grandpa continued, &#8220;a special group of kids at the Khalsa school was learning about Sikh history and culture through filmmaking. The film club, called Film Neev, was founded by Harbaldeep Singh. He wanted to use movies and music to teach young people about Sikh values and combat misunderstandings about their faith. This year, 28 kids joined the film program. They wrote and directed five short films on important topics like hate crimes, bullying, and, of course, selfless service.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Message_of_Seva\"><\/span>The Message of Seva<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;The students worked hard on a film called &#8216;Chal Seva Kariye: Let&#8217;s Do Selfless Service,'&#8221; Grandpa said. &#8220;This film had a special music video that became its title song. The film and the music video together celebrated the idea of Seva, which means helping others without expecting anything in return. The team wanted to show how important it is to help those in need, and they used their creativity to bring this message to life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Films_Storyline\"><\/span>The Film&#8217;s Storyline<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;In the film story,&#8221; Grandpa explained, &#8220;a group of Khalsa school students faced a challenge. A hurricane had struck Florida, and it affected the family of one of their classmates. The students decided to come together to help their friend and others who were suffering. They collected donations and worked hard to support those affected by the disaster.
