Her daily Nitnem practice and awareness of the devastating effects of alcohol motivated her to take a stand.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Confronting_the_Issue\"><\/span>Confronting the Issue<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Her uncle\u2019s routine of drinking late into the night caused tension in the family, especially as it led to domestic disputes. One day, Damanpreet courageously smashed his bottle and confronted him, an act of bravery fueled by her deep sense of justice and humanity.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Turning_Point\"><\/span>A Turning Point<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Despite the risk of being reprimanded, Daman\u2019s words resonated with her uncle.
