In its continued efforts to raise awareness, the Trust organized its second annual social and spiritual event, Shaam-e-Roohani 2016, at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n<p>The event saw participation from prominent educationists, industrial leaders, doctors, and retired officers from the tricity region, underscoring the urgent need to address the escalating drug crisis.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Progress_Through_Akal_Drug_De-Addiction_Centres\"><\/span>Progress Through Akal Drug De-Addiction Centres<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Akal Drug De-Addiction Centre, located at Cheema Sahib, Sangrur, Punjab, has already transformed the lives of over 4,500 individuals. The performances aimed to inspire and educate the audience about the devastating effects of drug addiction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights included:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A soul-stirring Shabad recital, Bba Kahan Khushi Khuar, by 16 girls and one boy under the direction of Dr. Purvi.<\/li>\n<li>A compelling play titled Tabah, directed by Dr. Kulbir Virk, portraying the destructive impact of drug abuse.<\/li>\n<li>A thought-provoking mime performance, Heal the World, directed by Kalpana, Savita, and Mandeep, which conveyed a message of hope and recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Join_the_Fight_Against_Drug_Addiction\"><\/span>Join the Fight Against Drug Addiction<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Singh urged the community to take collective action, stating:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cIf we don\u2019t act now, the drug crisis will engulf every family in Punjab, including ours.
