They somehow know what you want to become.\u201d \u2013 Steve Jobs<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This quote beautifully reflects the life of Sukhdev Singh, a dedicated individual from Tehsil Powayan, Uttar Pradesh, whose journey from a small farming family to a senior medical officer is nothing short of remarkable.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Humble_Beginnings\"><\/span>Humble Beginnings<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sukhdev began his educational journey at Shishu Mandir, a modest Hindi medium school in his rural village. Despite the limited resources, his dreams were big, and his aspirations were clear.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Transformative_Experience_at_Baru_Sahib\"><\/span>The Transformative Experience at Baru Sahib<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>After completing fifth grade, Sukhdev was admitted to Akal Academy, Baru Sahib. The serene environment of the divine valley stood in stark contrast to the noisy city life he had known. His five years at Baru Sahib, wrapped in spiritual values and nature&#8217;s embrace, proved to be a transformative experience.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Academic_Pursuits_in_Medicine\"><\/span>Academic Pursuits in Medicine<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sukhdev graduated from Baru Sahib in 1993, completing his 10th grade. He then joined Khalsa College, Punjab, for his 11th and 12th grades, with a keen interest in the medical field. Determined to fulfill his dream of becoming a doctor, he pursued a B.Sc at Lucknow University.<\/p>\n<p>In the fourth year of his undergraduate studies, Sukhdev\u2019s hard work paid off when he was selected for an MBBS program.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Serving_Humanity_as_a_Medical_Professional\"><\/span>Serving Humanity as a Medical Professional<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>By 2008, Sukhdev had completed his MBBS and was appointed as a medical officer in the Uttar Pradesh government. His passion for serving humanity, nurtured during his time at Baru Sahib, continued to grow.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Returning_to_His_Roots_at_Baru_Sahib\"><\/span>Returning to His Roots at Baru Sahib<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Guided by gratitude and love for the institution that shaped him, Sukhdev returned to Baru Sahib as a medical officer. After serving for two years, he resumed his role in the Uttar Pradesh government, this time as a senior medical officer.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Words_of_Gratitude\"><\/span>Words of Gratitude<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Sukhdev credits much of his success to Baru Sahib, saying:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s an extraordinary feeling of happiness. My time at Baru Sahib left an indelible mark on my soul. Recalling memories of Baba Iqbal Singh Ji makes me nostalgic. The love and blessings I received there are unparalleled. Students at Baru Sahib are fortunate to be surrounded by divine guidance and global values.
