This recognition celebrates the Trust&#8217;s significant contributions toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in rural education and women empowerment.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Award_for_Integration_and_Holistic_Solutions\"><\/span>Award for Integration and Holistic Solutions<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The award was presented to The Kalgidhar Trust in the individual category for its remarkable efforts in promoting integration, convergence, and joint action. The Trust\u2019s focus on providing low-cost, values-based education to approximately 70,000 rural children across North India through 129 schools and two universities was highlighted. Furthermore, the Trust has successfully empowered 2,500 rural girls through skill development and teacher training programs.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Praise_for_Rural_Education_Initiatives\"><\/span>Praise for Rural Education Initiatives<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Vivek Atray, ex-IAS officer, author, and motivational speaker, announced the award, acknowledging The Kalgidhar Trust\u2019s relentless commitment to rural education. He commended the Trust for establishing numerous schools across villages and districts, working hand-in-hand with district officers and the government to elevate the educational standards of rural students.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Supporting_Change-Makers_for_a_Better_Future\"><\/span>Supporting Change-Makers for a Better Future<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The SDG Action Award aims to encourage and support those working toward positive change and the achievement of the SDGs. The award recognizes organizations and individuals striving to make the world a better place through sustainable, impactful initiatives.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"SDGCCs_Role_in_Empowering_Punjab\"><\/span>SDGCC\u2019s Role in Empowering Punjab<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Supported by UNDP, SDGCC (Sustainable Development Goals Coordination Centre) is dedicated to facilitating the implementation of SDG 2030 targets.
