He praised the contributions of Sikh Gurus in shaping India\u2019s transformation through their teachings.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Need_for_Spiritual_and_Value-Based_Education\"><\/span>The Need for Spiritual and Value-Based Education<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Stressing holistic development, the former PM underscored the importance of spiritual and value-based education in Punjab\u2019s revival. He recognized the role of educational institutions in shaping a progressive society.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Kalgidhar_Societys_Role_in_Social_Reform\"><\/span>The Kalgidhar Society\u2019s Role in Social Reform<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Kalgidhar Society \u2013 Baru Sahib, a non-profit organization, has been instrumental in combating drug abuse through quality education. The society also focuses on healthcare, women empowerment, and social welfare, contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of rural communities in North India.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Baba_Iqbal_Singhs_Vision_for_Akal_Academies\"><\/span>Baba Iqbal Singh\u2019s Vision for Akal Academies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Manmohan Singh applauded Baba Iqbal Singh and the Kalgidhar Society for running Akal Academies, which follow the Gurukul system of education.
