He actively contributes to publications like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Guardian.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Recognized_as_a_2016_Pillar_of_Character\"><\/span>Recognized as a 2016 Pillar of Character<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In recognition of his dedication to ethical values, Dr. Singh was named a 2016 Pillar of Character by the Northside Education Foundation. He was selected from nearly 100,000 Northside ISD alumni for exemplifying trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pillar_of_Respect_%E2%80%93_A_Testament_to_His_Values\"><\/span>Pillar of Respect &#8211; A Testament to His Values<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Singh was specifically honored for the trait of Respect, which he defines as acknowledging the humanity and divinity in every individual. He credits his academic journey through Northside ISD for shaping his outlook and career.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Academic_Excellence_and_Professional_Impact\"><\/span>Academic Excellence and Professional Impact<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University, a graduate degree from Harvard University, and an undergraduate degree from Trinity University. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Trinity University and a Senior Religion Fellow for the Sikh Coalition. His work focuses on diversity, inclusion, civil rights, and religious discourse.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Running_Against_Stereotypes\"><\/span>Running Against Stereotypes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>An avid marathon runner, Dr. Singh began running as a supplement to soccer in his younger years.
