The air carried the serene hum of prayers, yet amidst the tranquility, a father\u2019s anguish surfaced. Gurcharan Singh, a white-robed Granthi, approached me with trembling hands and eyes filled with despair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVeerji, I don\u2019t want my son, Rehmat, to end up like me\u2014trapped in a life of struggle, <strong>earning<\/strong> a mere <strong>Rs. 8,000<\/strong> a month, with no hope.\u201d His wife, Simran Kaur, stepped forward, her voice quivering, <strong>\u201cWithout a good education,<\/strong> <strong>Rehmat will waste away in Vishnu Garden.\u201d<\/strong> Their bright-eyed, mischievous eight-year-old son stood beside them, oblivious to the weight his parents carried in their hearts.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Harsh_Reality_%E2%80%93_A_Family_Struggling_for_Survival\"><\/span>The Harsh Reality &#8211; A Family Struggling for Survival<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>That night, Rehmat\u2019s innocent face haunted me. Gurcharan\u2019s income, a meager Rs. 12,000 patched together from <strong>Akhand Path Seva,<\/strong> could barely support their needs, let alone pay for school fees.<\/p>\n<p>Determined to help, I turned to the \u2018Educate to Save\u2019 team. We dug into their story, uncovering a life of hardship. Hope poured in. Educators and supporters reached out, but one name stood out\u2014<strong>Pavleen Kaur.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>She became Rehmat\u2019s guiding light. Every day, she drove to our <strong>F-3 office,<\/strong> patiently working with him, turning his stumbles into strides.
