This transformative initiative was made possible through the <strong>CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)<\/strong> initiative of <strong>Punjab &amp; Sind Bank (PSB).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Akal_Academy_Reeth_Kheri_%E2%80%93_A_Rural_School_with_an_Urban_Reach\"><\/span>Akal Academy Reeth Kheri &#8211; A Rural School with an Urban Reach<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Nestled in rural Punjab, <strong>Akal Academy Reeth Kheri<\/strong> is no ordinary village school. Each day, over 476 students commute from Patiala City to receive a high-quality, values-based education. The school integrates modern tools such as e-classrooms, advanced science labs, a language lab, and ERP systems, setting a benchmark in rural education.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite academic excellence, the lack of clean drinking water due to poor groundwater quality had been a major concern\u2014until now.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Punjab_Sind_Bank_Steps_In_%E2%80%93_Clean_Water_Through_Swiss_Technology\"><\/span>Punjab &amp; Sind Bank Steps In &#8211; Clean Water Through Swiss Technology<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Taking note of this challenge, Punjab &amp; Sind Bank, under its CSR program, sponsored the installation of Swiss-made, ultra-filtered water purification systems with a capacity of 500 litres per hour. This compact and high-precision unit ensures access to safe and fresh drinking water for every student, significantly improving daily life at the academy.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Inauguration_Ceremony_%E2%80%93_A_Celebration_of_Community_and_Change\"><\/span>Inauguration Ceremony &#8211; A Celebration of Community and Change<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To commemorate the installation, a special ceremony was held, graced by <strong>Mr. M.K. Jain, Executive Director, PSB,<\/strong> along with <strong>Mr. I.S. Bhatia (General Manager) <\/strong>and <strong>Mr. S.S. Kalra (Zonal Manager, Patiala).<\/strong> Noted media personality <strong>Mr. J.S. Dardi, Chairman of Chardikala Publications<\/strong> and Press Council of India member, was the Guest of Honour.<\/p>\n<p>The event began with a warm welcome song, <strong>\u201cSu-Swagatam,\u201d<\/strong> performed by Akal Academy\u2019s girl students, setting a touching and respectful tone.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Leadership_Speaks_%E2%80%93_A_Vision_for_Health_and_Education\"><\/span>Leadership Speaks &#8211; A Vision for Health and Education<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In his speech, Mr. M.K. Jain praised the school\u2019s advanced infrastructure and the strong moral education being provided. He highlighted that:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWater is the most essential requirement for physical and mental growth in children. We selected this Swiss technology because it\u2019s ideal for areas like Reeth Kheri with groundwater issues. Punjab &amp; Sind Bank, since 1908, has been committed to social service, and this is one more step in that journey.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Community_Participation_and_Poetic_Tribute\"><\/span>Community Participation and Poetic Tribute<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The event was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic parents and community members. A special acknowledgment was given to <strong>Mr. B.S. Ahluwalia of Synergy Solar Pvt. Ltd.,<\/strong> who provided the machine.
