Hall<\/strong> radiated with warmth and gratitude as <strong>Akal Academy, <\/strong>at Surrey hosted its <strong>Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.<\/strong> Over 100 dedicated volunteers gathered under one roof, not for recognition, but for reflection to celebrate a shared mission of service, learning, and upliftment.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Voices_of_Gratitude_and_Purpose\"><\/span>Voices of Gratitude and Purpose<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Amidst a heartfelt atmosphere, speakers shared stories of transformation, community impact, and the quiet power of consistent Seva. <strong>Rina Kaur<\/strong> spoke passionately about <strong>Akal Academy\u2019s<\/strong> role in preserving heritage and nurturing the whole child through <strong>Punjabi language<\/strong>, <strong>Gurbani<\/strong>, and <strong>Kirtan classes<\/strong>, along with spiritual <strong>Gurmat<\/strong> camps during school holidays.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nurturing_Minds_Enriching_Futures\"><\/span>Nurturing Minds, Enriching Futures<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>One of the evening\u2019s highlights was the announcement of several new academic initiatives. <strong>Akal Academy, Surrey<\/strong> has introduced tutoring services for students from Grades 3 to 10 in subjects like science, math, and language arts all led by BC Certified Public School teachers. Through formative assessments and parental engagement, the Academy aims to build academic excellence with a foundation of personal growth.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"More_Than_Just_Academics\"><\/span>More Than Just Academics<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Recognizing the importance of holistic development, the Academy is now offering workshops in:-<br \/>\n<em><strong>\u2022 Interview and communication skills<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>\u2022 Professional development<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>\u2022 Study strategies and school success techniques<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nAdditionally, specialized prep classes for Punjabi Grade 11 &amp; 12 Challenge Exams are underway, helping students embrace their culture while achieving academic goals.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wisdom_That_Heals\"><\/span>Wisdom That Heals<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Dr. Pargat Singh Bhurji<\/strong>, a key speaker of the night, beautifully reminded everyone of the transformative power of <strong>Seva<\/strong> and <strong>Simran<\/strong>\u00a0how these pillars not only elevate our spirit but also bring peace and wellness to the mind and body.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Community_United_by_Vision\"><\/span>A Community United by Vision<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The dinner was a meeting of hearts dedicated to building a future rooted in values, excellence, and service.
