Avtar Singh<\/strong>, a noble soul whose life was marked by unwavering dedication to public welfare, education, and selfless service.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"186\" data-end=\"466\">S. Avtar Singh, born on <strong data-start=\"210\" data-end=\"232\">22nd November 1930<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"236\" data-end=\"260\">Faisalabad, Pakistan<\/strong>, lived a life deeply rooted in service, integrity, and compassion. Avtar Singh began his career as a <strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"624\">clerk in the Punjab Civil Sector<\/strong>. With a strong desire to serve the people and uplift society, he pursued legal studies at <strong data-start=\"715\" data-end=\"741\">Law College, Jalandhar<\/strong>, earning his LLB.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"1051\">His public service journey took him across several districts in Punjab as a <strong data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"865\">District Welfare Officer<\/strong>\u2014from <strong data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"921\">Gurdaspur and Amritsar to Ludhiana and Patiala<\/strong>. His dedication and leadership led to successive promotions, culminating in his role as the <strong data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1050\">Joint Welfare Director of Punjab<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1082\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Championing_Social_Causes\"><\/span>Championing Social Causes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1323\">Even after a distinguished government career, S. Avtar Singh\u2019s passion for social service remained unwavering. In <strong data-start=\"1198\" data-end=\"1206\">2002<\/strong>, he established the <strong data-start=\"1227\" data-end=\"1252\">Bapu Charitable Trust<\/strong> with a vision to support and promote noble causes that uplift society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1540\">His most remarkable contribution came in <strong data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1374\">2008<\/strong>, when he <strong data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1416\">donated over 4 acres of land<\/strong> to the <strong data-start=\"1424\" data-end=\"1455\">Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib<\/strong>, a testament to his belief in the transformative power of <strong data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1539\">Value-Based Education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1594\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Building_a_Legacy_Akal_Academy_Peer_Baksh_Wala\"><\/span>Building a Legacy: Akal Academy, Peer Baksh Wala<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1906\">Thanks to his generous donation, the land was used to build the <strong data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1693\">Akal Academy, Peer Baksh Wala<\/strong>\u2014a <strong data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1727\">CBSE-affiliated institution<\/strong> that today imparts <strong data-start=\"1747\" data-end=\"1784\">quality education to 464 students<\/strong>. This academy stands not just as a school but as a monument to his lifelong commitment to education, values, and service.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1929\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Life_Well_Lived\"><\/span>A Life Well Lived<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1931\" data-end=\"2164\">S. Avtar Singh passed away on <strong data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"1982\">10th October 2015<\/strong>, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, courage, and community service.
