Wilderness<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Education does not end at the classroom door it extends into the real world, where concepts come alive. <strong>Akal Academy, Dhugga Kalan<\/strong> embodied this belief with an exhilarating educational trip to <strong>Science City, Kapurthala,<\/strong> and the ecologically rich <strong>Kanjli Wetlands.<\/strong> It was a day that blended science, sustainability, and spirituality into a powerful learning experience.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Shabad_and_Spirit\"><\/span>Shabad and Spirit<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With 69 eager students and 10 enthusiastic staff members, the journey began under the guidance of Headmistress <strong>Ms. Parminder Kaur.<\/strong> The bus resonated with the divine hum of <strong>Shabad<\/strong> and <strong>Path<\/strong> as the group spiritually connected with the day\u2019s purpose learning with gratitude.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Kanjli_Wetlands_%E2%80%93_A_Living_Classroom_of_Biodiversity\"><\/span>Kanjli Wetlands &#8211; A Living Classroom of Biodiversity<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Their first stop was the serene and verdant <strong>Kanjli Wetlands <\/strong>an ecological treasure recognized by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/UNESCO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNESCO<\/a>. Here, students observed how diverse species of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flora\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">flora<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fauna\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fauna<\/a> coexist and learned about the fragile balance of ecosystems. Teachers explained the impact of human actions like poaching and pollution, and students left with a new appreciation for conservation and biodiversity.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Science_City_Kapurthala_%E2%80%93_The_Universe_at_Their_Fingertips\"><\/span>Science City Kapurthala &#8211; The Universe at Their Fingertips<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Next came a destination that lit every student\u2019s eyes with excitement <strong>Pushpa Gujral Science City.<\/strong> From walking into the universe during the immersive laser show to exploring human anatomy and watching missile models up close, students were immersed in scientific discovery like never before.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Touching_Tomorrow_%E2%80%93_Space_Suits_Dinosaurs_More\"><\/span>Touching Tomorrow &#8211; Space Suits, Dinosaurs &amp; More<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Whether posing beside dinosaur statues or examining space suits used by astronauts, students stepped into the past and future all at once. Interactive exhibits and live demonstrations gave life to theories learned in school. Suddenly, physics wasn\u2019t abstract, and biology wasn\u2019t just about diagrams.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Learning_Beyond_Textbooks\"><\/span>Learning Beyond Textbooks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Teachers played a vital role throughout connecting exhibits with classroom concepts, prompting questions, and encouraging reflection. Students found answers not on pages, but in models, visuals, and conversations.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Refreshment_for_Body_Mind\"><\/span>Refreshment for Body &amp; Mind<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On the return journey, students were treated to refreshments but their minds were already full with insights, excitement, and inspiration. Our children not only observed, but questioned, discussed, and most importantly, learned. That is what education is all about. Trips like these are more than mere outings they\u2019re launchpads for future scientists, environmentalists, and curious learners.
