Yet, when asked how she was coping, her calm words left everyone in awe:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cNo, my child, not everything is gone. Our patience, our faith, our community remain with us. The Almighty has given us so much already.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_Choosing_Gratitude_Over_Despair\"><\/span>\u00a0Choosing Gratitude Over Despair<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When questioned about what she wanted from the government, her response was even more profound:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy ask from those who are receivers themselves? We will only ask from the Giver. He may take some things away, but He always blesses us with more. Gratitude, gratitude, endless gratitude.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2728 This resilience is the true spirit of Chardikala \u2014 ever-rising optimism even amidst devastation.
