Can somebody make his or her life a ritual founded on this belief?<br \/>\nLearning has different motives for different individuals. Those letters written in black ink can become the passage to one\u2019s ultimate goal in life. To such a person, every minute is vital for growth.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Empowering_Rural_Women_%E2%80%93_A_Noble_Vision\"><\/span>Empowering Rural Women &#8211; A Noble Vision<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airwe.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Akal Institute of Rural Women Empowerment<\/a>,<\/strong> a social endeavor of <strong>The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib,<\/strong> has been transforming lives by providing education and self-reliance to the underprivileged.<br \/>\nMany girls who have passed <strong>10th or 12th<\/strong> are taken in and provided a platform to learn a chance to become teachers in the <strong>Akal Academies<\/strong> run by the <strong>Trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Girl_from_Mangewala_with_a_Dream\"><\/span>A Girl from Mangewala with a Dream<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Baljinder Kaur,<\/strong> from the small village of <strong>Mangewala<\/strong> in <strong>Punjab,<\/strong> didn\u2019t even know basic English when she joined the program. Her father, a painter who had never been to school, could only support her with hope and faith.<br \/>\nWhen asked what she wanted to learn, her simple yet powerful answer was <strong>\u201cEnglish.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nA surprising choice for many, especially given the conditions of rural schools in <strong>India.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Spark_of_Determination\"><\/span>The Spark of Determination<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Baljinder<\/strong> understood the importance of education deeply and made the most of every opportunity. She not only learned modern-day subjects but also developed a strong spiritual belief in the Almighty.<br \/>\nHer daily prayers and meditation gave her strength to face challenges with courage. She was often seen surrounded by books, constantly reading and learning, even cutting short her sleep to make time for study.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rising_Above_All_Odds\"><\/span>Rising Above All Odds<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Her efforts bore fruit. From being the weakest in her class, she rose to become one of the toppers of her batch.<br \/>\nShe didn\u2019t just focus on herself <strong>Baljinder<\/strong> also helped her fellow students, especially <strong>Kamaljeet and Baljeet,<\/strong> with great compassion and patience.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_Shyness_to_Confidence\"><\/span>From Shyness to Confidence<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A Punjabi girl with a simple folk accent transformed into a confident young woman, fluent in English and filled with a philanthropic spirit.<br \/>\nHer industrious attitude helped her break free from the cocoon of shyness.<br \/>\nTo her, life now felt like a magical dream from chulhas, cow dung, and kucha houses to laptops, the internet, and high-rise buildings.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Bright_Future_Ahead\"><\/span>A Bright Future Ahead<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Today, <strong>Baljinder<\/strong> knows the world around her. She understands the value of hard work and carries a strong ambition.<br \/>\nShe is currently pursuing her skill development program in <strong>Mohali<\/strong> and is counted among the brightest students in her class.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Still_Learning_Still_Growing\"><\/span>Still Learning, Still Growing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>She continues to read passionately not children\u2019s books anymore, but thicker novels that challenge her intellect.<br \/>\nHer dream of learning English is now fulfilled, and she sails on a new journey toward a brighter destiny.<br \/>\n<strong>Baljinder\u2019s<\/strong> story stands as a living testament to the truth that <em>\u201cWhere there\u2019s a will, there\u2019s always a way.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Article By: Harshana Kathpalia, B.Com (Hons.)
