<strong>India<\/strong> is still in the villages.<br \/>\nIf <strong>India<\/strong> has to regain its lost glory, it is the villages that need to transform.<br \/>\nAt times where elders fail, the children show the way.<br \/>\nRead the story of one such little village girl who transformed the destiny of her entire village.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Tiny_Ray_of_Hope_from_Ganga_Abloki\"><\/span>A Tiny Ray of Hope from Ganga Abloki<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ganga Abloki,<\/strong> a small remote village around <strong>40 km from Muktsar, Punjab,<\/strong> is home to little <strong>Gurjot Kaur and her family.<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen <strong>Gurjot<\/strong> opened her eyes to this world four years ago, she saw her grandfather <strong>S. Darshan Singh<\/strong> and other male relatives indulged in drinking alcohol.<br \/>\nFor her, it seemed normal a part of everyday life.<br \/>\nBut destiny had chosen this little soul to bring light into darkness.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Search_for_Education_and_Enlightenment\"><\/span>The Search for Education and Enlightenment<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When <strong>Gurjot<\/strong> turned three, it was time for her to start school.<br \/>\nBut there was no school in <strong>Ganga Abloki.<\/strong> Her father, <strong>Kuldeep Singh,<\/strong> determined to give his daughter a good education, began searching for one.<br \/>\nHis search led him to <strong>Muktsar,<\/strong> where friends told him about the <strong>Akal Academy,<\/strong> run by <strong>The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib.<\/strong><br \/>\nUpon visiting, <strong>Kuldeep Singh<\/strong> was deeply impressed. The Academy not only offered modern education but also spiritual growth teaching students <strong>Gurmukhi, Gurbani, and moral values alongside academics.<\/strong><br \/>\nWith modern infrastructure, a well-stocked library, laboratories, and playgrounds, it was everything he wished for his daughter.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Overcoming_the_Distance_Barrier\"><\/span>Overcoming the Distance Barrier<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>However, one challenge remained the school was 40 km away, and the nearest bus stop was <strong>7 km from their village.<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter consulting the school authorities, who assured him that the van would pick up <strong>Gurjot<\/strong> from the stoppage, he placed his faith in <strong>Waheguru<\/strong> and took the leap.<br \/>\nThus began <strong>Gurjot\u2019s<\/strong> journey in <strong>Akal Academy, Muktsar,<\/strong> as she stepped into nursery class, ready to take off in life.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Learning_Beyond_Books\"><\/span>Learning Beyond Books<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>At the <strong>Academy, Gurjot<\/strong> learned <strong>English, Hindi, Punjabi, numbers, and most importantly, Gurbani.<\/strong><br \/>\nThough she couldn\u2019t read from the <strong>Gutka<\/strong> yet, she memorized <strong>paath<\/strong> by listening and humming along with her classmates.<br \/>\nHer daily routine included reciting <strong>paath<\/strong> in the morning, prayers before and after meals, and <strong>paath<\/strong> at the end of the day which soon became an inseparable part of her being.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Childs_Faith_Inspires_a_Family\"><\/span>A Child\u2019s Faith Inspires a Family<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gurjot\u2019s<\/strong> devotion grew so strong that even on Sundays and holidays, she continued her prayers at home.<br \/>\nHer parents, initially concerned, thought she might be under pressure from school.<br \/>\nBut <strong>Gurjot<\/strong> calmly explained that it was her own will and began reciting <strong>Gurbani<\/strong> to them herself.<br \/>\nShe lovingly urged her grandfather to give up alcohol and embrace <strong>Naam Simran.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe miracle soon followed <strong>Darshan Singh partook Amrit and became a true Gursikh,<\/strong> now inspiring others to do the same.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Wave_of_Transformation_in_the_Family\"><\/span>A Wave of Transformation in the Family<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>What began with one little girl soon transformed an entire household.<br \/>\nThe family that once struggled with vices began to pray together and live peacefully.<br \/>\n<strong>Darshan Singh,<\/strong> now reformed, carries his granddaughter to nearby homes, spreading the message of <strong>Naam Simran and positivity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Miracle_Spreads_Across_the_Village\"><\/span>The Miracle Spreads Across the Village<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Seeing this transformation, the villagers of <strong>Ganga Abloki<\/strong> were astonished.<br \/>\nThey witnessed a visible shift of peace, faith, and prosperity blossoming in the family.<br \/>\nInspired, they decided to donate a piece of land to <strong>The Kalgidhar Trust<\/strong> so that an <strong>Akal Academy<\/strong> branch could open in their own village.<br \/>\nNow, even <strong>Gurjot\u2019s<\/strong> younger brother, only three years old, knows the <strong>Mool Mantar and Ardas<\/strong> by heart and is ready to join the <strong>Academy<\/strong> soon.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Lesson_for_the_Youth\"><\/span>A Lesson for the Youth<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The miracle sparked by little <strong>Gurjot Kaur<\/strong> is a reminder that change can begin with the smallest among us.<br \/>\nHer devotion rekindled faith in her family, reformed her village, and inspired an entire community toward spiritual awakening and education.<br \/>\nLet the youth of today take inspiration from <strong>Gurjot\u2019s<\/strong> astonishing story and pledge to transform the world around them into a spiritually enlightened, compassionate, and empowered one.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Article By: Deeksha Singh, New Delhi, 2nd Oct, &#8217;13<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Heart of India Still Beats in Its Villages The heart of India is still in the villages.
