They say, <em>\u201cHe upholds the universe by His all-powerful hands &amp; His grace upon us can never be underestimated.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nWhen He is by our side, everything turns right. New avenues open, new strength emerges all we are required to do is praise, worship, and follow His path.<br \/>\nSimilar is the story of <strong>Balaggan village\u2019s Gurpreet Kaur,<\/strong> whose destiny was carved by none other than Him.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Humble_Roots_High_Hopes\"><\/span>Humble Roots, High Hopes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Born to <strong>Gurdev Singh,<\/strong> a penniless farmer in <strong>Gurdaspur, Punjab<\/strong> a region often criticized for gender inequality <strong>Gurpreet\u2019s<\/strong> early life was steeped in challenges.<br \/>\nGrowing up in a society where women\u2019s voices were subdued, her journey toward empowerment is nothing short of a miracle.<br \/>\nToday, she is pursuing the <strong>Free Teachers Training Program<\/strong> at the <strong>Akal Institute of Rural Women Empowerment (AIRWE), Baru Sahib,<\/strong> under the aegis of <strong>The Kalgidhar Trust.<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter matriculating from the <strong>Punjab Board (PSEB), Gurpreet<\/strong> applied voluntarily and was selected for the program a year ago.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Zeal_for_Learning_and_Growth\"><\/span>A Zeal for Learning and Growth<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Besides preparing for her <strong>Class XII exams, Gurpreet<\/strong> has been working diligently to master English reading books, expanding her vocabulary, and developing fluent speech.<br \/>\nShe actively participates in knowledge-based games, classroom discussions, and practical activities, drawing lessons from every experience around her.<br \/>\nHer thirst for knowledge is unending, and her inquisitive spirit inspires everyone around her.<br \/>\nShe recently scored an impressive<strong> 75% in Maths,<\/strong> balancing her academics with her passion for personal development.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>\u201cI was not too pleasant a personality initially,\u201d<\/em> <strong>Gurpreet<\/strong> admits with a shy smile.<br \/>\nBefore joining <strong>AIRWE,<\/strong> she was known as the <strong>\u201cangry young girl\u201d<\/strong> in her village impulsive, short-tempered, and often argumentative.<br \/>\nBut under the spiritual environment of <strong>Baru Sahib,<\/strong> she began to transform.<br \/>\nThrough prayer, meditation, and faith, she found peace within herself.<br \/>\nFrom an arrogant first bencher, she became a patient listener, embracing humility and compassion.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Finding_Faith_Finding_Herself\"><\/span>Finding Faith, Finding Herself<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Gurpreet\u2019s<\/strong> transformation was not just academic it was spiritual.<br \/>\nShe realized that God\u2019s grace had shaped her new self, helping her shed anger and embrace calmness.<br \/>\nHer family, amazed at her transformation, now proudly acknowledges the role of <strong>Baru Sahib<\/strong> in changing her life.<br \/>\nToday, she walks the path of faith and purpose, inspired to serve others and share the same spiritual strength that changed her own life.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" journey wasn\u2019t free of challenges.<br \/>\nAt one point, family issues forced her to leave the Institute, pausing her dreams of becoming a teacher.<br \/>\nBut faith brought her back stronger and more determined than before.<br \/>\nShe returned with a clear goal: to serve humanity through education, ensuring that other rural girls like her find opportunities to transform their
