And They have done much much more &#8211; not just Rescue and Relief, but all support upto Rehabilitation as well<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F4251696298452943%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=267&amp;t=0\" width=\"267\" height=\"591\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Disaster_Rescue_and_Relief_Operations_carried_out_at_a_massive_scale\"><\/span>Disaster Rescue and Relief Operations carried out at a massive scale<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Relief work done by the Akal Seva Team was done at a very large scale &#8211;<br \/>\nSince 25 August, when the Floods hit Punjab, The Akal Sewa Teams of Kalgidhar Trust swung into immediate Action, and were at the disaster areas with their boats.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disaster Rescue operations Across 75 drowned Villages<\/li>\n<li>More than 5500 people rescued<\/li>\n<li>Disaster Control Camps were setup at the Various Akal Academies<br \/>\n( The Trust runs 130 Akal Academies across Punjab and adjoining states)<\/li>\n<li>More than 10,000 Supplies, Food and Relief Kits distributed<\/li>\n<li>Medical Camps were setup at 11 villages at strategic locations<\/li>\n<li>Even 280 anumals were medically treated in 7 villages<\/li>\n<li>Home Appliances Repairs were carried out in 13 villages<\/li>\n<li>More than 60 <strong>Akal Relief Homes<\/strong> have already been built and settled with provisions, and many more are in the works<\/li>\n<li>Many affected families have been supported by the Trust, including free education for the children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And the noble work continues &#8211; it is still far from complete<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Seva_in_Action_%E2%80%93_A_Lesson_for_All\"><\/span>Seva in Action &#8211; A Lesson for All<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In classrooms we learn theory, but in moments like these we learn life.<br \/>\nWhat does this teach us:-<br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Leadership is service.<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Courage is stepping forward when others step back.<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Greatness is measured not by titles, but by actions.<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 <strong>Every person has the power to uplift society.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Legacy_of_Light_From_Baru_Sahib\"><\/span>A Legacy of Light From Baru Sahib<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Kalgidhar Trust<\/strong> has always stood for humility, service, and humanity.
