Gram Panchayat Lana Bhalta, Baru Sahib wins the FIRST Prize in Himachal Pradesh!

Gram Panchayat Lana Bhalta in Sirmour District is nestled in the beautiful and serene valley of Rajgarh in Himachal Pradesh 60 kms from Solan. It has taken commendable initiatives to ‘Go Green’. After being recognized with Maharishi Valmiki State Sanitation Award, at block and district level in 2013 & 2014 respectively, recently GP achieved a milestone by being awarded the First prize at the State Level winning a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakhs.

Some of the great innovations made by Baru Sahib in this field is the cross breeding of the species of Earthworms which decomposes organic matter in 40 days ; the least calculated time for breaking compost material.
