Keeping up with the tradition of apprising the children of their religion and Sikh heritage Baisakhi celebrations was held in Akal Academy, Gomptipul.
Baisakhi is a festival of not only harvesting the Crops, but this also yields happiness and contentment. This festival is most prominent for Sikh Religion as on this day Khalsa Panth was established in 1699 in Keshgarh Sahib, holy place of Shri Anand Pur Sahib by Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji.
This occasion was celebrated by Akal Academy by the fine linen of spirituality and oneness in their spirits and mind. The purpose of celebrating this day was to make students aware about the historical background, significance and relevance of Baisakhi. The school Premises were aptly decrated & students were adorned in kesri turbans.
The programme started by reciting Nitnem which was followed with Bhog of Shri Akhand Path Sahib and with completion of 15 Sahej Path and commencement of 10 Sahej Path.
The programme was winded was with Ardass & Hukamnama.
Arrangement of refreshment and Guru ji ka Langar was there for the Sangat. Sangat was deeply touched by the Shabad Kirtan of young learners.
The principal blessed all the students & ended with a note where she defined the great role and responsibility of schools in making children aware with their cultural past.
On this day the SIKHS got their the greatest gift of AMRIT and code of conduct for being a Gur Sikhs.
