A Year of Healing, Service, and Spiritual Strength

Healing Communities Through Selfless Service
Throughout the year, The Kalgidhar Trust remained steadfast in its commitment to communities affected by the devastating floods in Punjab. Guided by the blessings of the Almighty and supported by dedicated donors and volunteers, the Trust successfully implemented the “100 Days – 100 Houses” initiative — restoring shelter, dignity, and stability to families who had lost their homes.
100 HOUSES
Using pre-fabricated construction technology, fully equipped houses ranging from 500 to 1,000 sq. ft. were completed within 24 hours, each at an approximate cost of ₹6 lakh. In addition to permanent housing, families received essential household items, ration support, and access to basic amenities. The Trust’s relief efforts also included rescue operations using motorboats, saving both human and animal lives, distribution of emergency relief materials, and educational support for children through stationery assistance and full fee concessions.

Nearly 500 volunteers from Akal University, Eternal University, and Akal Academies formed the backbone of the Akal Sewa Teams, serving tirelessly in flood-affected regions. The Trust remains committed to transparency and accountability, ensuring responsible utilisation of all contributions.
Spiritual support continued at Gurudwara Baru Sahib through regular recitations of Sri Sehaj Path Sahib and daily prayers for the well-being of Punjab, reinforcing the Trust’s ethos of service rooted in faith and compassion.
During the year, the Akal Relief Team received recognition and appreciation from the Government of Punjab, the Indian Army, District Administrations, Panchayats, PTC Sewa Sammaan, and various other organisations for its exemplary service.

Seva - The Anthem
A soul-touching musical journey by Kanwar Grewal, presented by IKK Soch, celebrating the timeless Punjabi values of Seva, Pyar, Insaniyat, and the unbreakable spirit of Punjab.
During the devastating Punjab floods, when countless lives were shaken, it was the Punjabi youth, farmers, volunteers, and local sangat who stepped forward with unconditional Nishkam Seva. This anthem is dedicated to all those real heroes who protect and uplift Punjab like their own family.
In November 2025, the Trust organised a grand Nagar Kirtan to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the Gurta Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The sacred procession journeyed from Gurdwara Baru Sahib to Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, witnessing large-scale participation and deep spiritual engagement from devotees across the region.

In a year dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the Gurta Gaddi Diwas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, our students deepened their spiritual journey through increased recitation of Gurbani and Salok Mahala 9. These sacred verses became a living classroom — instilling courage, compassion, and the timeless message of standing for truth, faith, and humanity.
Guided by the vision of Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, The Kalgidhar Trust/Society – Baru Sahib remains dedicated to nurturing individuals through a balanced integration of academic excellence, spirituality, and sports — preparing future generations to lead with integrity, resilience, and purpose.
