Punjab Flood Relief 2025
So far, over 528 individuals have been safely rescued and relocated to secure areas by the Trust’s volunteer teams. Significantly, the Trust was among the first organizations to reach these villages, ensuring immediate relief to those stranded by rising waters.
Dr. Davinder Singh, President of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib, and Bhai Jagjit Singh, Vice President, reassured flood-affected families that comprehensive relief measures are being taken. “Wherever floodwaters have entered and created crisis-like conditions, we are delivering relief kits and providing every possible support. Our commitment is to stand by the affected families and ensure they receive the essentials they need,” they stated.
Meanwhile, with water levels continuing to rise in the Ghaggar and Sutlej rivers, the districts of Amritsar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Tarn Taran, Patiala, and Mansa are also under the threat of flooding.
It is worth noting that beyond its work in the field of education, The Kalgidhar Trust has consistently stepped forward during natural calamities across the nation, taking responsibility to extend help and support to those in need.
The Trust concludes its appeal with prayers for the Chardi Kala (ever-rising spirits) of all.
