What began as a single school at Baru Sahib has grown into one of the largest value-based rural school networks in North India.

1986

The first Akal Academy opens at Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh.

2004

The network expands to 22 academies across five states.

Today

130 Akal Academies educate over 75,000 students across North India.

What Akal Academies do

Akal Academies combine academic education with the Society’s founding mission of character-building and spiritual grounding.

Value-based curriculum

Academic instruction alongside CBSE and state boards, paired with character education for underprivileged rural children.

Teacher training

The Society runs its own teacher training pipeline to staff campuses across all five states.
