Akal academy Gomti celebrated the Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj in the Darbar sahib.
Guru Gobind Singh fought against the injustice and religious fanaticism. The Mughal emperors Of Medieval India were determined to convert all the infidels to Islam. So in order to fulfill their cherished dream they resorted to all kind of crimes & injustice. They forcibly converted hundred to Islam.
Guru ji openly flouted the orders of the emperors and gave birth to a new faith known as Khalsa on the day of Baisakhi in Anandpur Sahib. Guru ji inspired the suppressed ones not to bear the torture and injustice but learn how to stand firm against oppression.
Each Student paid a heartfelt tribute to Great Guru with their enthusiastic participation.
The program started with the recitation of a poem “ Khalsa” by Harkirat Singh of class VI followed by Shubpreet Kaur of class VII who chanted the glories of Guru Sahib
Poem “Has Has ke shahidi pa giya” a poem by Novjot Singh of class 2nd depicted the hardships the Guru Sahib had to face while fighting against injustice.
Pratap Singh and Jashanpreet Singh recited religious poems ”we are the Khalsa, Mighty Mighty Khalsa.
Students of class 12th sang a beautiful Kawishri devoted to Dashmesh Pita.
Ratinder kaur of class VII delivered a very touching speech on the life of Guru Sahib and how his sacrificed his entire family to protect our religious freedom.
The programme concluded with the Ardaas followed by Guru Ka Langar. The teachers appreciated the efforts of the students for participating whole heartedly.
Principal Mrs Pawan Sahni motivated the children to be always true to their religion & uphold the spirit of Khalsa.
