I am Jaskirat Singh Mann from Muktsar, I did my entire schooling from the Muktsar Akal Academy and completed my 12th in the year 2008; it’s the most memorable time of my life as I topped in the medical stream amongst all Akal Academies during that year.
They say that anything that reaches its peak is bound to hit the opposite; my most memorable time too was followed by the most difficult phase of my life – in the year 2009 my father passed away. Coming from a typical middle class family life could’ve gotten very difficult if it wasn’t for my mother who happens to be in a Govt. Teaching Job; with grace of almighty, the bad phase was soon over and I soon joined Eternal University’s Akal College of Engineering & Technology at Baru Sahib where the same hybrid mix of spiritual & scientific education module, as followed at the Akal Academy, continued.
I pursued my B.Tech from ACET and with ‘Rab di Meher’, the very first Job offer that I got came from the prestigious Infosys, Mysore in February 2014 where I am presently recruited at the post of System Engineer, currently doing my practice under training phase.
I have spent a major part of my life with Baru Sahib’s Akal Academy and Akal College of Engineering & Technology and I would want to say that the school doing a great job in infusing the spiritual element alongside worldly education in the students, which is missing elsewhere.
On the career front, though I have not achieved or proved much in my life yet but I would still wish to convey to the fellow students that no matter where you come from or where you live, if you are on the righteous path and if you are dreaming big then there’s nothing that can stop you, any dream is achievable, if we keep our thinking limitless.
On the education from, in general I wish the gender gap between Boys and Girls soon reduces further and the quality of education, especially in the Rural and Remote regions, improves.
I also wish to pay my special regards to Baldev Sir at school, he taught us the laws of Physics in an exceptionally nice way, I believe he is remembered by every alumni of Muktsar Academy, besides I wish more progression & enhancements for Akal Academies and Colleges in the coming years and convey all the best to everyone connected to The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib for speedy achievement of their goal of reaching 500 Schools. Gur-Fateh!
