A week after a Sikhs’ holy book was desecrated in the US, a similar incident has been reported in the UK. According to reports, the sacrilege incident happened in Guru Gobind Singh Gurdwara, Bradford, UK.

Talking to TOI over phone from the UK on Wednesday, Sewa Singh Lalli, a member, board of jathedars, Sikh Council, said CCTV footage of the gurdwara showed that an Asian man wearing a turban got out of the van, looked around and threw ‘saroop’ of Sri Guru Granth Sahib over the gurdwara fence.

He said despite being wrapped, the saroop was damaged as it was lying outside in the rain all night.

Claiming that the incident was a clear disrespect to ‘saroop’, Lalli said, “We believe whoever has committed this disgusting act has done so with the clear and direct intent to hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.”

He said the CCTV footage also showed that a vehicle was used in the crime, but the number plate and the face of the individual driving it were not visible.

“Police are also studying all CCTV cameras in the area for further clues and track the vehicle and its driver,” he said adding that meeting was held between the gurdwara committee and police to get more clues that would assist in resolving the case.

Lalli said, “Sikh Council, UK, will continue to liaise with all parties to ensure that the perpetrators of this crime are brought to justice.”

He added that they had also requested calm and solidarity by members of the Sikh community.

Since 2011, nearly 100 needy people have been admitted to the Ashram, with more than 30 living in the Ashram permanently. After treatment, many have been rehabilitated and able to find their footing again in life. The number of patients arriving at the Ashram is increasing every month. They belong to different religions from different states of India. Most of the patients are either mentally challenged who cannot reveal their whereabouts or they are old, disabled, blind, paralysed, bedridden, or critically sick.

Dr. Mangat has published more than 60 research papers in Statistics and related fields in world famous journals and co-authored the internationally used textbook “Elements of Survey Sampling” published by Kluwer Academic Publishers based in Dordrecht (Netherlands), London (UK) and Boston (USA); now owned by Springer -Verlag Publishers of Germany.

THE BEGINNING OF SEVA: Dr. Mangat personally supported education of hundreds of underprivileged students in Punjab during his working days. He sacrificed comforts of Canada and returned to India in 2005 to look after the homeless, terminally ill, disabled, and mentally challenged persons lying on the roadsides and at other public places in Punjab. For many years he pedaled his bicycle on the roads of Ludhiana city and saved the lives of homeless disabled individuals who were crying for help. Dr. Mangat ensured their safe transport to the hospital, paid for their treatment expenses, and stayed near their bedside to look after them. Once they were given treatment, these individuals had nowhere else to go; Dr. Mangat was left to leave them on the roadside again after they were discharged from the hospital. Thus, Dr. Mangat, with the help of Guru Sangat, opened a free Shelter and nursing home called “Guru Amar Das Apahaj Ashram” for the destitute and disabled.

DAILY SEVA: Daily seva begins with prayer in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Ashram is equipped with solar power, security cameras, and sound system. The whole property is in the name of the Charity. Dr. Mangat and other Board Members care for these patients as volunteers. Peaceful, inspiring and unpolluted environment at the Ashram make a long term difference for these patients.

EVERYTHING FREE OF COST: All patients living in the Ashram are provided food, clothes, medical treatment, nursing care and other necessities of life FREE OF COST. A doctor on site examines them regularly. Those who can answer the call of nature at their own are kept in the two halls inside the main building. The bedridden and mentally challenged patients unable to answer the call of nature at their own are kept in the shed (outside the main building) where there is adequate crossing of fresh air. On completion of two more floors, the Ashram will be catering to hundreds of such needy people in the future.

ਇਕ ਕੁੜੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਵੇਰੇ 3 ਵਜੇ ਉਠ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦੀ। ਰੋਜ਼ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ, ਸਹਿਜ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦੀ। ਉਹਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਯਾਦ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜਦ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਹਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਚੁੰਨੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਹਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਉਹਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਤਨੇਮ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਰੋਜ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਣਾ, ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ, ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਾਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਸੀ ਉਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੂੰਹ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਬਾਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਪਰ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ ਮਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਸੀ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਦਿਖਾਈਏ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ 31 ਤਰੀਕ ਤਕ ਆਪ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਆਉਣ।

ਜੇ ਉਹ ਆ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਾਂਗੇ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਈਂ।

ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਹੈ।

ਉਹਨੇ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ।

ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਨੀ ਕਦੀ ਕਦੀ ਰੋ ਵੀ ਪੈਣਾ ਬਸ ਇਕੋ ਗਲ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਿਓ। ਦਿਨ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਗਏ। ਅਖੀਰ 30 ਤਰੀਕ ਆ ਗਈ।

ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਕੁੜੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ 3 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਪਈ।
ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਕੁੜੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਨਾ ਗਈ।

ਜਦ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਕੱਚੀ ਛੱਤ ਚੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਲਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਹਨੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਬਣਾਈ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਮੀਂਹ ਹਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਛੱਤ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਤਦ ਤਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਦ ਸਲਾਹ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਤਦ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕ ਲੜਕੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਉਹਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇਕ ਬਜੁਰਗ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਤਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਤਾਂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਕੀ ਲੈਣੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨਾ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਨਾਲ 5-7 ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਚਲ ਪਏ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ 31 ਤਰੀਕ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ। ਏਨੇ ਚਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਦਸਤਕ ਹੋਈ। ਜਦ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਨੇ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ। ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਕਮਰਾ ਵਿਹਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਚਾਅ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਰਾ ਸਾਫ ਕੀਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਫੀ ਮੰਗੀ। ਕੁੜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੰਗ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

ਗੱਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਧੰਨੇ ਜੱਟ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ। ਕਮੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਨਹੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ। ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਭਗਤੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਬਣਾਓ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀ। ਬਸ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।

ਨੀਤ ਸਾਫ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਤਲਬ ਲਈ ਨਹੀ ਰੱਖਣਾ। ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਕ ਕੁੜੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਵੇਰੇ 3 ਵਜੇ ਉਠ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਤੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦੀ। ਰੋਜ਼ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ, ਸਹਿਜ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਦੀ। ਉਹਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨੀ ਯਾਦ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜਦ ਘਰ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਕ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਉਹਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੇ ਹੁੰਦੀ। ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਚੁੰਨੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਉਹਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਉਹਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਿਤਨੇਮ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਰੋਜ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਣਾ, ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ, ਪਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਾਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਸੀ ਉਹਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਨੂੰਹ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਸੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਬਾਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਲਈ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਪਰ ਨੂੰਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਫ ਮਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ। ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਲੱਭਦੇ ਸੀ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਦਿਖਾਈਏ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ 31 ਤਰੀਕ ਤਕ ਆਪ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਘਰ ਆਉਣ।

ਜੇ ਉਹ ਆ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕਾਂਗੇ ਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਜਾਈਂ।

ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਦਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਹੈ।

ਉਹਨੇ ਰੋਜ਼ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ।

ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਨੀ ਕਦੀ ਕਦੀ ਰੋ ਵੀ ਪੈਣਾ ਬਸ ਇਕੋ ਗਲ ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ ਰੱਖਿਓ। ਦਿਨ ਲੰਘਦੇ ਗਏ। ਅਖੀਰ 30 ਤਰੀਕ ਆ ਗਈ।

ਉਸ ਰਾਤ ਕੁੜੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਰੋਈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਵੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਘਰ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਰਾਤ 3 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਪਈ।
ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਕੁੜੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਨਾ ਗਈ।

ਜਦ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੋਈ ਤਾਂ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਕੱਚੀ ਛੱਤ ਚੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਉਹਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਇਹ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਗਲਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਹਨੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਹਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਲਾਹ ਬਣਾਈ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤਕ ਮੀਂਹ ਹਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਛੱਤ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਤਦ ਤਕ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਦ ਸਲਾਹ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਤਦ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਇਕ ਲੜਕੀ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਵੀ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਉਹਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਇਕ ਬਜੁਰਗ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਇਕ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਤਾਂ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਤਾਂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਕੀ ਲੈਣੀ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨਾ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਨਾਲ 5-7 ਹੋਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਚਲ ਪਏ। ਉਹਦੇ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਘਰ ਇਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ 31 ਤਰੀਕ ਹੈ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂਦੁਆਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ। ਏਨੇ ਚਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਦਸਤਕ ਹੋਈ। ਜਦ ਸਹੁਰੇ ਨੇ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ। ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਕਮਰਾ ਵਿਹਲਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਫਾਈ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਸ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਚਾਅ ਨਾਲ ਕਮਰਾ ਸਾਫ ਕੀਤਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਫੀ ਮੰਗੀ। ਕੁੜੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੰਗ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

ਗੱਲ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਧੰਨੇ ਜੱਟ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹਨ। ਕਮੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਨਹੀ ਲੈਂਦੇ। ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।
ਭਗਤੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਬਣਾਓ। ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਨਹੀ। ਬਸ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।

ਨੀਤ ਸਾਫ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਤਲਬ ਲਈ ਨਹੀ ਰੱਖਣਾ। ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
