This is a story of a man who achieved his ambitions with hardwork, willpower and dedication. Maninder Thind alumnus of Akal Academy Baru Sahib is a resident of village Jahlan, district Patiala and is one of the shining stars of Akal Academy.
The young man’s tale subtly began like this. Maninder was brought to Akal Academy Baru Sahib in 1994 when he had just passed his 5th standard from another school. As was usual with other kids, he too was excited to enter the divine valley.
It’s challenging yet advantageous to settle in the environment where voices originate of students reciting gurbani early in the morning. And often difficult to adjust when you sleep in Darbar Sahib with dark circles under your eyes.
But only people with good deeds come to this place to become a real man and face the world differently. Maninder passed out his 10th and went to Mahindra college, Patiala to continue his 11th and 12th.
His keen interest in technical field was to take him beyond the normal levels and this was rarely in his dreams. To pursue his B.Tech he went to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Engineering and Technology in Ferozpur. Progressing in his education step by step, now he was aiming at his post graduation.
Maninder then went to Dehradun to the University of Petroleum for higher studies and pursued his MBA in oil and gas management. In his beginning of career through campus placement he was appointed as an assistant manager at the Bharat Petroleum. There he worked for four years and a half years at Jammu. With time he was then shifted to Patiala and appointed a Deputy Manager. Then he gathered more experience of 3 years.
After 7 years of experience in work. Today he has reached excellence as he is now appointed as a territory manager in the Bharat Petroleum at Allahabad.
