When Disaster Strikes

The Kalgidhar Society is at the forefront of providing support at the time of any disaster across the country, including Punjab Floods, Kerala floods, Kashmir earthquake, Covid-19 pandemic etc. The services are activated at short notice with the objective of providing long-term relief. Over the years, the Society has extended a helping hand in the form of:

Cleanup and Restoration

Support to people as they restore and rebuild after a disaster.


Emergency Shelter

At a facility identified by the local emergency management personnel.


Disaster Social Services

Direct financial assistance to disaster victims for essential living supplies, emergency housing needs; and disaster-related medical expenses.

Food Service

The Delivery of meals and drinking water to disaster victims and emergency workers. Food may be prepared and served at congregate feeding sites.
