Gagandeep Singh has been working as Tennis coach in Akal Academy Baru Sahib since 2011. Having a coaching experience of 12yrs & an umpiring experience for 8yrs, He has been offering the best of his training services & skills to the students of Baru Sahib.
His Personal Training has helped the students to lead in many state level competitions and made them won many trophies & national awards. He works hard along with the students so that they can explore the best out of their potential. Akal Academy Baru Sahib has always had a strong sporting tradition and students enjoy excellent sporting facilities. Students are guided by a team of professional members.
Having served as a line umpire in six International Events, Gagandeep was recently chosen for his seventh International Tennis Competition after the FedCup held in April –Davis Cup which is considered the World Cup of Tennis. Among the team of Umpires he is the Only Sikh umpire.
The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men’s tennis. It is run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested annually between teams from competing countries in a knock-out format. By 2015, 125 nations entered teams into the competition.
He was included in the team of line umpires during the Davis cup against New Zealand. This year again he was selected as a line umpire in Davis cup against Czech Republic. The tournament will be held in Delhi from 18th -20th Sept, 2015.
