She joined Akal Academy, Kajri in 2001. She was highly impressed by the framework of education which had a perfect blend of the value based quality education.
It enlightened her with knowledge about Sikh religion & the beauty of values it holds. After passing her 10th grade from Akal Academy, Kajri she joined Akal Academy, Baru Sahib. She narrates her priceless journey to the most divine centre of education.
From the day she reached the Valley of Divine Peace, Baru Sahib; She experienced what a blessed child she was for having the privilege of studying in the most serene environment.
Divinity classes by Er. Amarjeet Singh was always the most awaited & cherished session & they transformed her life. Being a medical student everyone expected her to pursue MBBS but the motivation given by Dr. Davinder Singh, to opt for Biotechnology was so valuable that it headed her towards the turning point of her life as it was because of his guidance that she opted for the same and she pursued her bachelor’s in biotechnology from GGDSD College affiliated to Punjab University followed by Masters from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana with major Biotechnology and minor Plant Breeding and Genetics .
Finally her hard work paid rewards. She was awarded a Gold Medal as she topped in her Masters and awarded for the best thesis. She was then offered a job in the same university as a research fellow in an International project “Sample sequencing of wheat chromosome 2A-IWGC”.
She always dreamt of pursuing Ph.D., having all her hopes & faith intact she applied for the Ph.D programme in plant science at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She was chosen as a Ph.D. student out of 100 candidates with the full scholarship.
A Journey where she left no stone unturned & carved the best out of her potentials with the motivation by her parents who stood & supported her in the dark hours of life.
Anupriya demonstrated an essence of a true leader, consistently pulling herself up the rope of growth with the grip of strong efforts & strength of will power. Coming from a lower-middle class background, she defined her destiny the way she dreamt as with the help & guidance of Akal Academy under the aegis of the Kalgidhar Society. She bequeathed the spirit of learning in her & kept stepping forward in the ladder of success.
