“Baru Sahib paved my ladder of hope to reach out to the World” – Jagneet Kaur. The Flowers bloom in the premises of Baru Sahib and its fragrance spreads to all corners of the world persistently. One of them was Jagneet Kaur who was three and a half yr old when Sant Baba Iqbal Singh Ji adopted her & turned her life into a new direction, a direction that lead her towards a dignified life. It gave her a reason to live. He looked after her needs, understanding the importance of education & nurtured her with love & affection. She expresses her gratitude to Baba Iqbal Singh Ji in giving her a chance to rise up as a daughter of Sikh Panth.

Jagneet Kaur is currently pursuing her BA in Humanities from Eternal University & is a member of Anahad Bani Jatha in which students are trained for a Soulful Divine Raag-Aadharit SEHAJ PATH with TANTI SAAZ.

ANAHAD BANI is the costliest program ever undertaken in Sikh Television History. The soulful Raag Aadharit rendition of the complete Guru Granth Sahib ji, has been made possible by training young students in Raags through dozens of accomplished Professors of Raagas. To her, singing is the most gracious gift of God, in which she wishes to make her career. While she excelled in her academic performances she also never let her passion for music die. She also has mastery in playing string instruments. She finds relief in her music and offers the same to the almighty.

The tales of Tansen (one of the 9 jewels of Akbar, the great emperor), shows that when he used to sing even the animals used to enjoy and were governed by his music. Music is commonality between all civilizations. It actually binds us together, so much so that we tend to forget our distinguishing attributes. Jagneet felt that she can contribute her part to this world in the form of music.

Jagneet Kaur is an incredulous ingenious blessed child with God’s benign gift of music in the soul. She is now on the tracks of that “Music is the language of the spirit. She says, “Music takes us out of the actual and whispers to us dim secrets that startle our wonder as to who we are, and for what, whence, and whereto.”

Value Based Education with modern facilities brings a positive change in the lives of these orphaned & abandoned children. The dream of making the children of India responsible citizens of the nation is becoming possible with the help of charity based institutions like Kalgidhar Trust that are making the seed of education reach to the such deprived sections of the country.

Baru Sahib is educating rural youth more and more especially girls and stretched their hand and brought them to fore. Raising above the chauvinistic mindset & closing all the gender gaps and promoting gender equality, Baru Sahib strives to empower women and to allow them to overcome obstacles in life. Baru Sahib opens the doors for girls, which were closed by the societies and false cultural beliefs. Baru Sahib gives them wings to fly because the sky is for all. By shouldering the responsibility of educating such children the trust fulfills it’s a Pious Commitment to humanity.

Stories like Jagneet could be thousands in a country like India. But what is to be remembered is that God has made each one of us and has provided us with some strengths and weaknesses. We are either in the process of resisting God is truth or in the process of being shaped and molded by his truth. God who is eternally complete, who directs the stars, who is the master of fates, who elevates man from his lowliness to himself, who speaks from the cosmos to every single human soul, is the most brilliant manifestation of the goal of perfection. So, store the faith in the Almighty and unite with the divine power.
