Commemorating this day, Akal Academy Gomti conducted a number of Samagams in which students of 6th, 7th ,8th graders participated on different days.

Students of Akal Academy, Gomti Celebrate Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib in religious fervor!

Children and staff members of the academy jointly decorated the Darbar Sahib jointly. All the programmes were held during the early hours of the day in the divine presence of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji .

Students made sure to celebrate the Prakash Purab in full zeal and religious fervor. Children recited “poems” and performed Gurbani Kirtan, narrated sakhis and sang Kawishris all highjlighing the life of Shri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji. The entire month was dedicated in celebrations for the Gurpurab.

Satnam Singh and his fellow mates initiated the program with the recitation of Shabad ”Satgur jumuy Kaj Savare”, highlighted the essence of faith that every man should have in the will of God.

These shabads praised the various acts of benevolence of guruji and suggested that merely be remembering the name of guru ji, man’s all worries disappear.

In the end, the Principal appreciated the laudable efforts of the children and the staff members who made the programme a great success. She laid emphasis on the teachings of Guruji and inspired the students to feed pride in their rich heritage.
