Under a cloud speckled winter sky with the historic chetwode building in the background, amid 401 cadets, Yuvraj Singh, Alumnus Of Akal Academy, Gomti roared in IMA passing out Parade.

The Akal family announces it with pride that as one of its Alumni has made his way to NDA Khargwasla by passing written examination and cracking SSB.

He successfully passed out from IMA Dehradun four years ago and was commissioned as Lieutenant in Indian Army. His father, Mr. Ashok Kumar who is a Senior Teacher and his mother Mrs. Hem Lata is a H.O.D English Department, Chief Co-ordinator and H.O.D S.St in Akal Academy, Gomti.

Yuvraj Singh pursued his schooling from Akal Academy, Gomti. Revealing his schooling years, he has always been in the good books of the teachers. This very Intelligent, laborious and obedient student often passed each class with flying colours. He was equally good at sports especially Football and Volleyball.

He was always so ingrained with the studies at school there was never any room, space or even need for any tuitions for his academics as well as competitive examinations.

It was the result of well planned and carefully executed strategy that he was selected for permanent commission for Indian Navy (B. Tech Entry Scheme) and all India Engineering Entrance Examination.

But NDA was the dream destination of this young boy. Yuvraj Singh had a galaxy of Army personnel in the family so maintaining the family cult; he came up to the expectation of his family members.

Yuvraj Singh first stepped into NDA way back in January 2013. Later he underwent three years rigorous training, passed out in 2015. Joined IMA, Dehradun in January 2016 as Gentleman cadet and passed out successfully as Lieutenant. He was given the Army branch of his choice keeping in view his outstanding performance at IMA.

The efforts being put in across Akal Academies promising bright and better future to the rural children across North India is commendable.
