In order to spread awareness about different types of hepatitis, Akal Academy Kajri organised an interactive seminar “Prevent Hepatitis: It’s up to you”, to mark the World Hepatitis Day. The seminar focused on the barriers in hepatitis cure and the importance of screening and early diagnosis.

To begin the seminar the Science teachers discussed upon the Hepatitis its types, causes and treatment available. Mr. Dineshwar Dutt, PGT Biology teacher in his interaction categorized Hepatitis using PPT and visual aids. The student speakers of Class XI XII Anmoldeep Kaur, Jashandeep K. Pratishta Tripathi ,Pawanpreet Singh , Daljeet Singh had a very informative talk on Hepatitis.

Mr Vijaypal singh HOD Science too contributed to the seminar. Mrs. Kanak Tripati and Mr. Vimal Kumar House Master (Amul) conducted the programme. Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria, (Academic Coordinator) praised the speakers for their valuable contribution and urged the teachers, students, to play their positive role in raising awareness and educate people about this deadly disease. The Principal, Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind also stressed on the individual efforts to get rid of this fatal disease. The event was attended by large number of students. Mr. Philip Xavier, Head Librarian/Media too contributed to make this programme a big learning experience.
