As the year approaches the end, the global world Sikh Community commemorates the Martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Sahibzaade in the history of the world.

Akal Academy, Gomtipul paid tribute by organizing the programme of Shahidi Diwas of ‘Wadde Sahibzaade’ and ‘Chotte Sahibzaade’ on 23rd Dec 2015 and 28 Dec 2015 respectively.

Students paid homage to the epitome of valour and sacrifice – Sahibzaada Ajeet Singh ji’s and Sahibzaada Jujhar Singh ji.

Holy hymns and religious poems were recited in their remembrance at Shri Darbaar Sahib.

Divinity incharges enlightened them with the boundless purity and unwavering decision to uphold Sikhi at all the cost of the Sahibzaade.

On 28 Dec 2015, the Martyrdom day of the youngest sons was commemorated. After Nitnem, the students collectively recited Sukhmani Sahib. Poems & Kavishri was sung was a tribute to their supreme sacrifices.

The details of the poems and Kavishri are as under:

First of all Kavishri was sung by the boys of class VIII A and B (Lovepreet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Satinder Singh and Gurmukh Singh). This Kavishri was followed by the poem “Chum chum rakho kalgi Jujhar di by the girls of VII A”. “Vela aa gia de dadiya judai da” religious hym was sung by Gurnoor Singh, Navjot Singh and Sahibjot Singh of class II.

Manaspreet Singh of class III recited the melodious shabad “Kiven toure hune Mata Gujri ne lalji” which binded every soul present. Holy shabad “Watan lambian to raasta pahad da” was recited by the girls of the school.

Students were acknowledged about the courage and bravery by the divinity teachers. To wrap up the commemoration ceremony. Anand Sahib was recited and Prashad was distributed among the students and staff members.

After the lunch break, movie “Chaar Sahibzaade” was shown to the students to inculcate religious vibes in their minds. It was arranged in the respective classrooms with the motive of informing them about Sikhism to feel proud about their sikh culture.
