Benra 3rd January: Yesterday was a day full of enthusiasm, love, happiness and competitions. The school ground was all decorated and there was energy in air. Hold on… It was the Sports Day celebrations that the school ground was decorated for and all the enthusiasm was all intact within students to compete with one another. This mega event saw children buzzing with happiness and carrying the competitive spirit for the events lined up for the day. Children participated in the events of long jump, frog jump, three leg race and many more with a great fervour.

The event started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest S. Pritam Singh Johal – ADC SANGURU and the Principal Ms. Gurjeet Kaur who saw the much appreciated March Past performed by the students. Other guests present were Cluster Head, Mrs. Manjeet Kaur – Principal, Akal Academy Cheema and Principal Akal Academy – Channa.

The mega events planned for the evening were equally interesting. Students performed Gatka, Poem Recitations and Choreography. Overall the event was a huge success and left the audiences all praises for the efforts put in by the Academy to build in confidence and team spirit within the students.
