To promote the love for Dastar, Turban Tying competition was conducted in Akal Academy Bilga. 13 Students from classes 9th to12th participated in it. They adorned their dastars very beautifully & gracefully.
It was conducted under the supervision of activity Incharge Mrs. Inderjit Kaur and Music Teacher S. Davinder Singh, & S. Simranjeet Singh. Judges of this competition were S. Amrinder Singh(InchargeIT Support) and S. Karnail Singh (A.O). 1st position was bagged by Simranjot Singh(XIIth Sci.), 2nd position was bagged by Inderjit Singh (XIth Sci.) and 3rd position was bagged by Vikramjeet Singh (XIth Com).
Each child is ingrained with values that keep them deep rooted to Sikhism. Keeping in mind the urgent need of the hour such competitions are help to make sure the youth does not waver from the Khalsa Panth.
All the students were awarded with certificate and prizes. Principal Smt. Harpreet Kaur Sahni congratulated the winners and appreciated others also. She also added that competition at small level leads to high-level competition so all must participate in it.
