In the wake of the lack of awareness among the rural masses about Women Health and literacy, students of Akal Academy Kajri decided to spread awareness through a rally on Women Health and Literacy Awareness program. The rally sponsored by Health Club under the guidance of Health club incharge Mr. Sudhir Kumar took to spread awareness through village Haripur Talluke Chandpur Tehsil – Puranpur. Students carrying banners alongwith them marched forward roaring through the village with slogans of ‘Spread the light of knowledge to literate the Nation’, ‘Women are the pride of home should be taken care of’, ‘Educate daughter, Save the Nation’, etc. the villagers were motivated so much so that they stood at their door steps and watched and heard them attentively.

Students of Class IX – Jaskaran Singh, Gujant Singh, Lovejeet Singh, Navjot Kaur, Simran Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Akhveer Kaur, Pawanjeet Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Anmol Kaur, Gurleen Kaur and Jasmandeep Kaur performed the different health awareness skits in the lanes of the villages.

On this occasion Mr. Vijaypal Singh, science teacher, discussed about the precautions that have to be taken to avoid Rabies and Tetanus alongwith Mr. Harpal Singh who talked about the hygienic ways to maintain cleanliness in the villages and teachers and students motivated the villagers to send their daughters to school.

Principal, Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind thanked everyone and motivated the kids to continue such social awareness programs in future. The Academy teachers and Health Club Members – Mrs. Meenakshi Gupta, Mrs. Kanak Tripathi and Mr. Philip Xavier thanked everybody in co-operating with them in the campaign.
