The inspiration of this project came from when I visited Baru Sahib, HP, India in 1988. What I saw there was unique and transforming experience to me personally. Young children being given education which was a blend of modern scientific curriculum and spiritual training i. e. Value – Based Education. Two Charity Organizations namely, ” The Kalgidhar Trust and The Kalgidhar Society ” established this Spiritual Education Center called VALLEY OF DIVINE PEACE.

From five students and one room Akal Academy ( 1986 ) this Mission has mushroomed into 130 Akal Academies ( spread over seven states of North India ) and two fully accredited universities with a total student strength of 60,000 plus. The graduates of these institutions have excelled not only in academics, but also have high moral values with compassion and love for Fellow Man and sense of service to humanity. They are trained to be catalysts for spreading Guru Nanak’s message of Universal Brotherhood of Man towards BRINGING PERMANENT PEACE IN THE WORLD.

Inspired and motivated with this concept of education, I came back to USA and started Nonprofit Corporation namely, The Kalgidhar Trust (US) in 1992 to pursue the same objectives as above and instill that spirit of love and service to youngsters and population at large of Sikh Community in USA as well as other seekers of Truth. This organization was also granted 501 (C) ( 3 ) status in 1993. and it has been carrying its mission diligently ever since its inception.

After providing service to the Sikh Community and other Seekers of Truth for more than 20 years in North America vis-a-vis student exchange programs, spiritual and cultural tours, summer camps, seminars, lecture series, divine music concerts, etc. last year the Management decided to move this Mission to the next level and Establish University, namely ” ETERNAL GLOBAL UNIVERSITY ” under New Mexico state laws as nonprofit corporation and acquired tax exempt status from IRS.

The university then developed expanded curriculum suitable for Distance Education Mode, enabling it to serve much larger audience in US, Canada and around the globe. Eternal Global University has also established an extensive

Library of books, journals, CDs, DVDs, Teaching Material, pertaining to courses being offered relative to Gurmat, Divine Music, Sikh History, Sikh Philosophy, Sikh Culture, Punjabi Language and other languages of Holy Scriptures and books pertaining to other major religions of the world. This collection is probably one of the largest private collection and will stand in good stead towards university’s Mission.

ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਗ ਪੱਤਰ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਚੇਚੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸ.ਰਾਮਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਹਿਣੀਵਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ. ਬਹਿਣੀਵਾਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਉਹ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੱਕੜ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਗਾਂ ਪੂਰੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੋਦੜਾ, ਕਰਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੁਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਗਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬੱਚਿਤਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜਗਸੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੀਵਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਮੇਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਦਿ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਸਨ।

Often ignored and forgotten, Granthi Singhs in rural areas lead a challenging life. Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib has decided to hold their hand and do their bit by arranging FREE Education for their Kids under Mata Bholi Scheme.

For them earning a livelihood becomes a primary matter of concern and education might stand a little or, very often, no chance of pursuance. Education might be perceived as a high-priced luxury, and this negative outlook continues on with every new generation.

This noble Endeavour by the Trust is meant to uplift the underprivileged often forgotten section of the society, Ragis, Granthis, Kathawachaks & Sewadars with the means of Education under Mata Bholi Scheme.

Mata Bholi Scheme & DeedADay is part of Baru Sahib’s endeavour to bridge the gap between ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’. The future objective is to lift 250,000 children out of poverty by sponsoring them through a first-rate education, from the age of 3 through to 18, and beyond. The Akal Academy Baru Sahib school was recently named amongst the top 25 in the whole of India.

Gram Panchayat Lana Bhalta, Baru Sahib wins the FIRST Prize in Himachal Pradesh!

Gram Panchayat Lana Bhalta in Sirmour District is nestled in the beautiful and serene valley of Rajgarh in Himachal Pradesh 60 kms from Solan. It has taken commendable initiatives to ‘Go Green’. All kinds of Pollution be it of Air, Soil, Water or Sound, are managed with state of the art means and innovative methods and machines uniquely designed by the ‘Sevadars’ of Divine Valley to retain its tranquility.

Sarpanch, S. Jagjit Singh (Kaka Veerji) has done a commendable job of supervising all the activities related to preserving the nature and ensuring a healthy environment. Liquid and Solid Waste of the entire region in Lana Bhalta Gram Panchayat in Sirmour Distt.

GP Lana Bhalta won the Nirmal Gram Puraskar in 2009. After being recognized with Maharishi Valmiki State Sanitation Award, at block and district level in 2013 & 2014 respectively, recently GP achieved a milestone by being awarded the First prize at the State Level winning a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakhs.

It is equipped with the latest technology and machines which converts and disposes waste in the most efficient manner, also taking care of the workers by getting their regular medical checks up done.

#JustinPics Larivaar Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib which Sant Teja Singh ji brought to UK when he established the First Gurudwara Sahib at Shepherd Bush, UK.

During his stay in UK, he motivated the Sikh students studying there to build a Gurdwara in London. Everybody agreed and contributed the money for establishing the Gurdwaras. Teja Singh bought a big house at Shepherd Bush, London and established a Gurdwara in this house.

In Canada too, he built a Gurdwara in Surrey, B.C. Similarly he gathered the revered Sikhs who took part in freedom of India like Baba Vaisakha Singh, Baba Jawala Singh and others. As such, he established a Gurdwara at Stockton USA with the help of these Sikh Saints.

Sant Teja Singh during his sojourn of USA was invited to attend Berlin World Congress of all Religions. Sant ji presented the divine vision and preaching of Guru Nanak Dev. He familiarised the huge gathering from across the globe, about Guru sahib’s message of Universal Brotherhood and the presence of same divine light within every creature of the Creator.

Sant Teja Singh on return to India also participated in the Second Sikh League Congregation to decide political course of action in light of non–cooperation movement initiated by political leaders of India at that time.
Apart from the above Sant Teja Singh represented Sikh community in The Eighth World Peace Conference attended by spiritualists of all faiths across the globe, held in Japan in 1956.

After Sant Attar Singh Mastuane left his mortal frame in year 1927, Sant Teja Singh during the period of 1927-1939, toured the whole of India and propagated Sikh Faith. People in large numbers partook the divine nectar of Guru Gobind Singh and thus got baptized and started treading the spiritual path under the guidance of Eternal Guru Granth Sahib ji.

He spent many years at Paonta sahib and meditated on Divine Name, did sewa in building Gurdwaras and also wrote the Biography of Sant Attar Singh Ji. In the year 1945, he visited west Punjab areas (now in Pakistan) and held religious congregations and gave spiritual discourses. In the year 1949, he addressed the students of Khalsa College Amritsar and motivated them to tread on the spiritual path while taking worldly education. The students after listening to the sermons and lecture of Harvard educated Sant Teja Singh and seeing his simple outlook; were extremely motivated. Here he also invited students to Paonta Sahib during study vacations to have more insight of spiritual way life and the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj. Many students pledged to have his association and committed to visit to Paonta Sahib during vacations.

Out of the prominent students who pledged allegiance to Sant Teja Singh, only two students namely Iqbal Singh and Bhai Gurbux Singh went to Paonta Sahib to have spiritual association with Sant Teja Singh.

In the period of 1952-53, Sant Teja Singh propagated Sikh faith in the places/countries like Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, East Africa, Japan along with his disciple Baba Gyan Singh. In African countries, he also visited Uganda and advised the local Indians to be more affectionate to the local natives and alongside to prepare for moving to other countries also. The advice came in handy after a few years later since due to civil war and on orders of Idi Amin, the then Ugandan dictator, all the Indians were flushed out of that country.

Again in 1955-56, Sant Teja Singh visited Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, USA and Canada.
