Inspired by the clean India campaign by government of India, Akal Academy Gomti Children, staff and Sewadars beneath the auspices of Kalghidhar Trust, Baru Sahib undertook a massive drive to keep their school neat and clean. Students of Class IX under the supervision of their class teachers partake this activity with zest and zeal. Opening the campaign S. Jaswant Singh Ji (Sewadar),teachers and sangat stepped out together towards the main entrance gate of the school. Armed with brooms, spades and other tools they cleaned up every nook and corner. Class IX girls were given the responsibility of cleaning the indoor areas. The campaign reached the premise of the main Gurudwara and sangat too joined them to make the surrounding spic and span.
Later S Jaswant Singh Ji told the children the importance of cleanliness in life. He gave many examples how sikh rehit of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and other guruji became an integral part of Sikhism whether physical or spiritual. Newly joined Principal Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria led this entire campaign with dedicated senior teachers as Mrs. Hemlata (Chief Coordinator), Mr. Hardeep Singh, Mr. Shauraya Singh, Mr Sandeep Singh, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Mr. Dharamveer Singh and Ms. Nidhi Rattan. Mr. Bhupinder Singh too contributed lot by capturing visuals of these moments. Co staff of the school too gave lot of support to make this activity an interesting outdoor learning point.
