Chandigarh-born Paramvir Singh Chattwal (43) will represent Australia’s Department of Justice, New South Wales, in the upcoming World Police and Fire Games to be held in Los Angeles.

He will be competing in the full bore rifle and police tactical pistol shooting competition. Chattwal migrated to Australia in 2014 and is working with the New South Wales Police where he took up shooting as a sport. His parents Ujjal Singh Chattwal and Kawaljit Kaur are Zirakpur residents.

In 2015, he won the bronze medal in the Australian Emergency Services Pistol Championships in Canberra. Next year, he participated in the Victorian Police Pistol Club Championships and won six silver medals.

In the NSW Police Games last year, he won the silver medal in small bore rifle and the bronze medal in the pistol shooting.

“It’s a great feeling to represent Australia in this championship. I had never thought of joining police department but now I am enjoying it,” said Chattwal.

He also claimed to have carried the Australian flag during the 2016 Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

“I am a correctional officer in the department. Shooting was never my first choice as I was more inclined towards business but with the passage of time I developed my interest in the sport,” he added.

Chattwal claims to be the first Sikh national to represent Department of Justice and Australia at the World Police Games. He has studied in city schools before moving to Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun.

ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਰਾਭਾ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਬਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰ ਦਾਸ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪ ਮੁਹਾਰੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਕਿਰ ਪੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 50 (ਪੰਜਾਹ) ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 15-16 ਅਜਿਹੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਸ਼-ਹਵਾਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਿਆ ਆਪ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੋਧ ਸਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਲ-ਮੂਤਰ ਆਦਿ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਲਾਵਾਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਘਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਥੱਲੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਸੂਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਬੂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁੱਕਦਾ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਕਾਮ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਜਾਂ ਘਰ-ਬਾਰ ਵਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦੇ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਸੰਭਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਲ-ਮੂਤਰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਆਦਿ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਤਸਵੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਵਾਰਸ ਸੁਭਾਸ਼ ਜੋ ਕਿ 23 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ-ਬਾਰ ਵਾਰੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਿਆ। ਤਿੰਨ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਿਰਾਏ ਤੇ ਟੈਂਪੂ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਘਰ-ਬਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਕਿਰਾਏ ਤੇ ਕਮਰਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਜੋ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਖਾ-ਪੀ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਰੰਗ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੋਨੋ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਾਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਹਟ ਗਈਆਂ। ਕੁੱਝ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪਰ ਠੀਕ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਵਲ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ 13 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2017 ਨੂੰ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ। ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ੩ ਹਫ਼ਤੇ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਜੇ ਤੇ ਪਏ ਰਹਿਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੁਰਗਵਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

ਦਿਮਾਗੀ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਠੀਕ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੱਖੋਵਾਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਿਤਾ ਰਹੀ ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾ ਦੇਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਸੱਜਣ ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2016 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਉਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਵਾਏ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦੀ। ਇਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਾਲ਼ਾਂ ਡਿਗਦੀਆਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮਲ-ਮੂਤਰ ਕਪੜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਮਾਗੀ ਤੋਰ ਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਠਿੰਡੇ ਦੀਆ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੌਂ ਕੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਝ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੜਕ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ। ਹੁਣ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਜਾ-ਬਿਸਤਰਾ, ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਲੰਗਰ, ਕੱਪੜੇ ਆਦਿ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੀਸ ਜਾਂ ਖਰਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ। ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਨੀ ਹਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਜਟਾਣਾ (ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਦੋਰਾਹਾ) ਦੇ ਜੰਮਪਲ ਡਾ. ਨੌਰੰਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਂਗਟ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਯੂ. ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਆਫ਼ ਵਿੰਡਸਰ, ਮੌਰੀਸਨ ਸਾਇੰਟਿਫਿਕ ਰੀਸਰਚ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਕੈਲਗਰੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਫ਼ੈਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਇੰਸਦਾਨ ਹਨ। ਡਾ. ਮਾਂਗਟ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਸਾਲ ਸਾਇਕਲ ਤੇ ਫਿਰਕੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਕਾਂ ਕੰਢੇ ਪਏ ਲਾਵਾਰਸਾਂ-ਅਪਾਹਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾ ਲੋੜਵੰਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ-ਸੰਭਾਲ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਅਤੇ ਚੈਰੀਟੇਬਲ ਦੋ ਮੰਜ਼ਲਾ ”ਗੁਰੂ ਅਮਰ ਦਾਸ ਅਪਾਹਜ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ” ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ।

ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਰੂਰਤਾਂ:(1) ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੱਗ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਮੰਜ਼ਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ, (2) ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਮਰੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ-ਮੋਟੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਆਸ਼ਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।

In India, hundreds of thousands of people are homeless, disabled, and poverty ridden; leading a miserable life under the open sky on the roadsides. They are without safe drinking water or food, and no access to medical care. These homeless people emit foul smell which makes it difficult for passersby to go near and lend them a hand. Many of them die due to either: starvation, extreme cold, heat waves, sunstrokes, gastroenteritis, or other illnesses.

BRINGING THE DESTITUTES TO ASHRAM: Guru Amar Das Apahaj Ashram is a registered charity located near village Sarabha of district Ludhiana, Punjab. Disabled and homeless people are picked up from the roadsides and brought to this Ashram. Many are found in severe critical condition, nearing their last breath. In the Ashram they are provided shelter, food, clothes, medical treatment, nursing care and other basic necessities of life: FREE OF COST.

FOUNDING OF THE CHARITY: The charitable trust “Guru Amar Das Apahaj Ashram” was founded in 2005 by Dr. Naurang Singh Mangat (pictured right), a former Professor and Scientist of PAU, Ludhiana, University of Windsor, and Morrison Scientific Inc. of Calgary. Before building the Ashram, for many years Dr. Mangat pedaled his bicycle on the roads of slum areas in and around Ludhiana city to help homeless-sick people crying for help. He picked up these people and took them to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. He paid for all expenses and stayed with these patients in the hospital to ensure they received the care they needed. He started construction of the Ashram in March 2009 and admission of patients began in April 2011. The Ashram has been built on the sole foundation of helping the needy irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

To date, nearly 150 homeless needy people were admitted in the Ashram. After receiving medical treatment and nutritious food, many of these were rehabilitated and able to find their footing in life again. However nearly 55 patients, who could not become fit for work, live in the Ashram permanently. Out of these 55 patients, about 15 are severely critical. These patients are mentally and physically disabled, unable to answer the call of nature, cannot recall their own name or whereabouts, and have no relative to ever inquire about them. When people visit the Ashram, some of them tend to break down emotionally after seeing their pains, and wish that no one should suffer this fate.

UPHILL TASKS AHEAD:
To build a small hospital in the Ashram so that immediate better medical treatment is provided to the patients instead of transporting them to an outside hospital. A full time doctor onsite is also required.

The remaining two storeys of the Ashram need to be completed to accommodate the increasing number of needy patients. A separate building for the ladies is also an urgent requirement

ਤਰਨ – ਤਾਰਨ, ਮਿਤੀ 29 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2017, ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਤੋਂ 23 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2017 ਤੱਕ ਨਾਸਿਕ (ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਠਵੀ ਮਿੰਨੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਫੈਨਸਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਫੈਨਸਿੰਗ ਐਸ਼ੋਸੀਏਸਨ, ਨਾਸਿਕ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫੈਨਸਿੰਗ ਐਸ਼ੋਸੀਏਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੇ.ਡੀ. ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਮੰਡਲ ਵੱਲੋ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪ੍ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਦਿਆਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਲਾ, ਪਿੰਡ ਕੋਟ ਜਸਪ ਤਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਸੁਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਜਸਵੰਤਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਕਾਜੀਕੋਟ ਤਰਨਤਾਰਨ ਨੇ ਕੋਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਤੀ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਬੇਹਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਬਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬੇਹਤਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ, ਗਿਆਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਤੋ ਵੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਤਰਨ – ਤਾਰਨ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਤੀ ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਜਮਾਤ ਇੰਨਚਾਰਜ ਗੁਰਮੀਤਸਿੰਘ, ਐਡਮਿਨ ਸੁਮਨੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਤੀ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਨੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸੇ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ ਨੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਉਦਾਹਰਣ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਬੱਚਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ।
ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਾਬਾ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਪੱਖੀ ਕਲਾ ਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਨ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਇਕ ਨਮੂਨਾ ਹੈ। ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਤੇ ਮਹੱਇਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬਾ, ਐਡਮਿਨ ਸੁਮਨੇਸ਼ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਰਣਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਗੁਰਸੇਵਕ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਨੂਰ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦਿਨੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਭਰਿਆਲ ਲਾਹੜੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅੰਕਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਲ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸੀ.ਏ. ਦੇ ਟੈਸਟ 108 ਵਾਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ,ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਜਾਗ ਪਈ। ਅੰਕਿਤ ਹੁੰਦਲ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਕਲਰਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਅੰਕਿਤ ਪੜਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਹਾਕੀ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਵੀ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਉਹ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਕ ਮੱਧ ਵਰਗ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰਮਨ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਕਿਤ ਦੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਹੀ ਹਰਮਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਾਮ ਬਾਲਾ ਹੈ (ਅਕਾਊਂਟ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ) ਉਸਦੇ ਹਰਮਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਉਹ ਤੀਜੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।ਕਲਗੀਧਰ ਟਰੱਸਟ ਬੜੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਬਾਬਾ ਇਕਬਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿਤੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਦੀ ਬਹੁ ਪੱਖੀ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੱਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

Children huddled up in a sacred space and reciting from the holy Sikh scriptures early in the morning isn’t a sight one sees every day.

They follow the regular routine of doing Nitnem during Amrit Vella along with Rehraas Sahib in the evening!

Kalgidhar Society has undertaken a huge task of bringing these young minds together & instilling Gursikhi into them.

The collective chorus of the young gathering has been sending waves of cheers down the parents’ hearts.
