On the auspicious day of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Aagman Purab, Students of Akal Academy Basarke participated in an enthralling programme to pay their tribute to the Great Guru.
Akal Academy at Basarke was built in memory of Dr. Kharag Singh Ji Sachdeva, founding Principal of the Medical College in Faridkot.
Students performed Spiritual Kirtan adding to the sanctity of the day and also highlighted the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The auspicious day showcased the religious fervour of the students of different ages. They stressed on the importance of unflinching faith in the Guru through poems, speeches and sakhis portraying the life history of the ‘Guru’.
Serenity floated in the air with humming of Gurbani Kirtan by these little innocent souls.
The Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the students for their excellent presentation & discipline. She stressed that the students in the modern time should be attached to their roots and that the tenets of Sikhism taught in the school.
Imbibing such divine values will pave way towards their better future and for years to come.
