Extempore Event at Village Ghugh Akal Academy

Ghugh, 26th Dec ’13: Moving swiftly upon its vision to secure mainstream for the rural kids of India and also curb drug/alcohol addiction amongst youth of India, Akal Academy, run by the Kalgidhar Trust at village Ghug observed a specially customized “Extempore” event, aimed at imbibing English Speaking skills among village children alongside spreading the message of encouraging Drug and Alcohol De-addiction.

The event saw primary class students gathered together at the corridor outside their classes who came up on the performance area, turn by turn. There were individual performances that were witnessed by the students alongside school staff & teachers. The exclusively customized event was held in the form of a competition where the participants had to speak on the given topic in English whilst explaining their views & creative suggestions on the same.

“It is always interesting and exciting for us to keep coming up with such dynamic learning concepts for our students, who otherwise do not get much of organic exposure in the village environment to support their universal growth, especially on the context of getting proficient at this universal language of English”,  expressed Ms. Navneet Kukreja, Principal of the Academy, who holds regular brain-storming sessions with the members of the staff to conceptualize new ideas and techniques of making learning a dynamic & impactful for the young rural village kids.
