The new month of Maghi was welcomed in Akal Academy Gomtipul with the spiritual vibes in the hearts. The programme was organised by the management both in the Darbar Sahib and in the ground. Initially the function was commenced in the Darbar Sahib with the completion of Akhand Path’s of local Sangat which was followed by the several religious poems and hymns sung by the students of Akal Academy Gomtipul.
The festival of Maghi is the most awaited occasion in the Gomtipul region and it is celebrated on a very grand scale every year. Likewise other years, this year also the preparations started well in advance. Right after Diwali the unbreakable chain of Akhand Paths started which continued till the day of Maghi. People from local area along with the students of the school collectively took the sewa of Sehaj Path.
On 12/01/2016 Nagar Kirtan was organized on a very large scale by Gomtipul Gurdwara Management. It started at 10:00 a.m. from the Gurdwara Sahib of Gomtipul and reached the Gurdwara Sahib of Puranpur. In the Nagar Kirtan shabad was recited by the students and Raagi Jatha.
The main Samagam held on 14/01/16 in the playground. Firstly the students of the school recited holy shabad to pay a pious tribute to the supreme sacrifice of 40 Mukhtas who laid down their lives in the fight against evil. Different eminent personalities came from different areas to share their views and enlighten the Sangat with the facts and great history of Sikhism.

S. Jagjeet Singhjee (Kaka Veerji) from Baru Sahib
Baba Surjan Singh ji from Malpuri
Kathawachak Baba Pal Singhji and Kavishri Jatha.
Besides this the programme of partaking Amrit was also organised in the school premises in which many people become baptized. Along with the recitation of Shabad Kirtan Langar was served to the Sangat. Maghi was celebrated with the owe to be honest towards our values and human mankind.
