National Science Day is being celebrated every year on 28th Feburary to widely spread awareness among learning fraternity about the significance of science in the daily life of the people. It helps children developing scientific attitude and interest in science subjects.

To bring forth scientific acumen of children Gomti school teachers and students assembled to celebrate National Science Day. This year the theme of the celebration was “Science and Technology for specially abled persons”. To begin the programme the students performed live scientific experiments before the assembled curious science learners. A live Quiz was also organized that covered the latest scientific discoveries and achievements of Indian Scientists. A discussion on Sir CV Raman was organized by Mr. Ajay Dass and Mr. Mukul Aggarwal, Mr. Hardeep Singh HOD Dept. of Science motivated the students to partake science based activities while learning science.

Despite hectic examination revision schedule the students eagerly participated in group activities. The Principal, Ashok Singh Guleria in his motivational round up talk asked the children to take interest in science and remain updated with current scientific inventions and discoveries. He told the children to look to great scientists like CV Raman, Srinivasa Ramanujan, Jagadish Chandra Bose, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and many others for inspiration and prepare for the challenges. Mr. Rehan Khan conducted the whole programme. Ms. Nidhi Rattan, Mr.Bhupinder Singh, Mr. P Pandey, Mr. Ajay Dass too gave their contribution. Those who did best were Anshpreet Kaur V class, Sharanpreet Kaur IX, Sukhmandeep Kaur, Parneet Kaur, Subh Gupta, Manjot Singh Krishkaran Singh, Sukhmanveer Singh.
