The real purpose of Education is the all round development of students, the belief well kept by the Akal Academies across Northern India. We tend to believe that Education is not limited to only books but also comprises of co-curricular activities for an all round development of a child. Following this line of thought, Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur, directed the In-charges of all four houses to prepare students for Inter-House Science Quiz Competition.

Students selected from Grade IV to VII belonging to the four houses – Abhay, Ajay, Amul & Atul through a preliminary round competition held in the individual class rooms by the House Incharges where every student was given an opportunity to participate and the best were selected to represent their respective House in the final Quiz Competition.

The syllabus for the competition was that of the prescribed Second Term Examinations where the students were guided to come thoroughly prepared for the two day Quiz Competition where the first Quiz Master, Ms Gurpreet Kaur gave instructions to the teams and explained them the rules. The quiz started with an introduction session where each participant introduced himself and the how confident he is to win the challenge!

The Quiz Master asked questions from the participants and the aura of the room was bussing with enthusiasm as to which team will win. The roles between the teacher’s was quite sorted with the Principal being the judge, Madam Neetu Joshi being the scorer and Madam Rishi Dutta being the time keeper, were equally thrilled.

Day 2 of the event too went equally challenging where S. Majit Singh hosted the competition and asked questions in a very that was unique and fun. The very next saw a grand Prize distribution ceremony where the Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur gave away the prizes to Abhay House being first and House Atul being second where the students of both teams stood out as winners on both the days of the competition.

“This gives me a great pleasure to organize an event being informative as well as being a challenge to the students to prove themselves and get motivated. We together with intellectual teachers and intelligent students have proved to be a team that is well read and is all ready to face the world”, said Madam Principal Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Akal Academy Dhanal Kalan.
