In the Endeavour to conserve and use the water resources optimally, Akal Academy, Bilga celebrated the International water day. Various activities like Poster making, Slogan writing, free hand drawing and Painting Competitions were conducted during the day.

Speech was delivered by Teacher Inderjit kaur to motivate the students to conserve and save water. Students pledged to avoid wastage and create awareness about Water Conservation to others as well.

Posters related to Water Conservation were displayed all around the school campus.

Human water drop was also formed by students of A.A.Bilga giving the message to the World about the NEED TO SAVE WATER.

Principal Harpreet Kaur Sahni motivated the students to be the future leaders and save the Mother EARTH of its depleting resources.

With an aim to restore the pride and prestige of Punjabi folklore, culture and heritage, Punjabi poem recitation competition was conducted in Akal Academy Bilga which was conducted by Punjabi and Divinity Department.

Students of VI- VIIIth Grade participated and were divided into 4 groups belong to 4 different houses. It was conducted in Darbar Sahib with judges as Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Ms. Ritu Bala and Ms. Baljeet Kaur.

Some of the most sensational and beautiful poetry were recited by the students. Winners of this competition were Karamvir Singh (Atul House) Jaskirat Kaur (Amul House) Jasmeen Kaur (Abhai House), Tanvir Kaur (Ajai House) and Gurjinder Kaur (Abhai House).

Principal Harpreet Kaur lauded the efforts put in by the students & motivated others to participate in such competitions too.

A great attempt by Akal Academies to bring Punjabi to the forefront, preserving the glory of Gurmukhi.

Students and staff members of Akal Academy Dadehar Sahib celebrated the first Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The Students of class 9th and 10th Grade collectively recited Sri Sukhmani Sahib to mark the sacred day following which the students & Staff members performed Kirtan and added to the divine atmosphere.

Divinity coordinators briefed the students about the history backing this auspicious day which enlightened the students. In the end, students recited the bani of Anand Sahib and Ardaas was done to seek blessings of the almighty. Kadah Parsad was also distributed among all students and staff members.

The exhibition conducted on Parent Teacher Meeting at Akal Academy, Dakra Sahib. Students demonstrated their science experiments, working models , beautiful art/craft models. Parents appreciated the work of the students and were impressed by the hidden talents of these rural kids.

The exhibition showcased some brilliantly conceptualized and interestingly crafted models– based upon their individually selected unique & exquisite themes.

The hard work & efforts put in the students was evident, the quality of their work was at par with students of any acclaimed city schools.

Akal Academy Mander Dona recently organized an educational trip cum excursion to Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. The integrated township is very well planned and boasts of lush green surroundings.

It is the largest and most modern coach manufacturing unit of Indian Railways. The factory is located at a distance of 7 kms from the historical city of Kapurthala.

Students observed how rail coaches are constructed, how various components are put together, how the work is proceeded further. The y witnessed the safety measures used and also the working condition of the employees. They learnt various technical terms related to railways and were guided by the staff members and the rail authorities there.

Such Educational trips enhance the knowledge of the students & give them an opportunity to observe many things that are not available at school, advantage of local resources promote community connectivity. They often learn while having fun in a more informal environment.

The day was full of curiosity, exciting experiences & fun. A fun bonding experience which offered a refreshing break to both the teachers & students.

Every expedition made is an experience which leaves students pondering and implores them to think!

There is no doubt education is secret key of human success and the roots of education lies deep within. A child is born without knowledge and skills, and they continuously participate in various academic activities which helps developing skills and knowledge through a learning process.

In order to make learning fun and interesting for studies, a quiz was conducted by the staff members at Akal Academy, Theh Kalandar. students belonging to classes third to fifth grade participated in the competition. The students were divided on the basis of their respective houses and the scores were noted on the blackboard.

The students participated with keen interest and enthusiasm. This helped them having a greater grip to the subject without mugging up facts.

Commemorating the 411st Prakash Purab of Guru Granth Sahib ji, a grand holy procession was taken out wherein not only the members of the army band but students of Akal Academy Tibber also participated with great enthusiasm & religious fervor. Spectacular Gatka Performances were witnessed with blunt weapons, Kirpans, swords skills.

On this auspicious day, Amrit Sanchaar was conducted by the Panj Pyaare of Akal Takht at Akal Academy, Tibber. 143 blessed souls took Amrit Paan during the holy ceremony. The Principal graced the occasion with inspiring words.

The Celebrations of Teachers Day was marked with plantation drive conducted by the students as a tribute & expression of gratitude to their guiding light, their teachers.

Teachers are described as the custodians of future. They not only shape the life of their students but they mold and chisel raw minds into administrators, scientists, engineers and future leaders. On this day the entire student community respectfully recognized the contributions of teaching fraternity.

They paid respect to their teachers by committing themselves towards making our planet green.

Though such plantation drive, more and more people can be inspired to promote the importance of being at harmony with environment.

They students pledged to continue with its tradition of preserving environment and having eco-friendly activities.

Paying obeisance to The Eternal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and instilling devotional values among the children, Akal Academy Kajri started series of Sahej Paths on 1st September, 2015 in the School Darbar Sahib Hall.

The Divinity Department of the School in conjunction with School Teachers, Staff and Children expressed their solidarity observing the Paath and Shabad Kirtan.

The Principal Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind, Divinity Department head Mr. Jagbir Singh Ji, Mrs. Kiranjeet Kaur and all Teachers including Staff member along with Media Group, Mr. Philip Xavier had shown their participation in the programme.

Taking the initiative of sensitizing the learners about health, hygiene and prevention of most common and deadly vector-borne diseases like malaria, typhoid, dengue, Akal Academy Kajri conducted community awareness programme, an Anti-Malaria Awareness Rally in the vicinity of Kajri Niranjanpur village.

Students of class IX along with teachers of the school along with their parents residing in Kajri village had a supportive contribution towards creating a Public awareness about these health hazard diseases.

Well prepared with posters, slogan placards and spraying tools, students and teachers got onto the streets filled pot holes, sprayed pesticides, kerosene in the affected areas. The villages too joined this move and helped the teachers and students for this noble cause.

During the programme various street plays were presented to aware the public about Malaria and related water borne diseases.

Reaching the school, the principal, Mrs Simran kaur Thind appreciated the students and teachers and parents for their valuable contribution. Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria, Mr. Vijaypal Singh, Mr. Philip Xavier Mrs. Kanchan Mishra, Ms. Anshul Bhardwaj, Mr. Vikas Vajpai, along with school assistant Mr. Anup had their contribution to make this day a great learning experience.
