TRAIN HARD, WIN EASY!

The athletic meet started off with an impressive Inaugural Ceremony in which students performed Shabad Kirtan and Principal flagged off the event with her inspiring speech carrying the message of true sportsmanship spirit

The atmosphere was charged with zeal and enthusiasm with the call for the opening rounds of heats for 100 meters. Tug of war and the three legged races. The students performed at the best of their abilities.

In the end, the Principal appreciated the efforts put in by the teachers and the impressive performances by the students, honouring them with prizes and certificates.

National Level Colouring & Handwriting competition was conducted in Akal Academy Bilga.

It was conducted by Rangotsav Sanstha Mumbai and approx 375 students participated in it from KG to 10th.

It was a matter of great pride when five students got Art Merit Award, Bandana of Grade VI bagged the second position and was awarded with a Gold Medal.

Harleen Kaur, IV Grade got the 3rd position and awarded with an attractive color kit.

2 students of KG class, Gurkirat Singh and Bhupinder Singh awarded with attractive school bags.

Principal and Art teacher were awarded with Kala Gaurav award. School was awarded with brilliant school award.

Principal Harpreet Kaur Sahni congratulated the winners and appreciates the efforts made by Art & Craft Teacher Mr. Sukhdev Singh and Activity Incharge Ms. Inderjit Kaur.

They were awarded with award of appreciation by Rangotsav Sanstha. Principal motivated other students to take active part in such type of Activities.

Shri Guru Ramdas ji’s Prakash Purab celebrated at Akal Academy Dadehar Sahib in full religious fervour. On this auspicious occasion students & staff members performed Kirtan together. Religious performances by students includes devotional Kavishari, Kavitas enlightened the atmosphere.

Class 8th student Akashdeep Kaur highlighted the life history of Sri Guru Ramdas ji followed by the motivational speech by Principal for the students to follow the path shown by our Gurus with full zeal.

Akal Academy Bhadaur conducted an Inter-House sports activity. It was organized by Sports department which included 3 events; Tag of War (Nur to V), Badminton Tournament for Girls of VI to VIII grade and a Volleyball tournament for the Boys of IX to XII grade.

It was heartening to watch students perform in full of Vigor and enthusiasm showcasing their talent. A total of 316 students participated in it. The event was scheduled from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

All drew hearty applause from their fellow teammates, a fitting appreciation for weeks of hard work. As the students’ wild cheers rent the air, the players, with grit and determination, performed to achieve victory and glory for their respective houses.

Principal Ms. Gurdeep Kaur took around for supervision. She encouraged the students to perform their best.

The result were as follows

Atul House emerged as the winner of the Tug of War & Badminton Championship while Ajay House clinched the first position for the Volleyball Match.

Apart from commemorating victories, such activities are aimed at imparting lessons on sportsman spirit and camaraderie to children.

The day ended with a cheerful note, filled with promises for all the young sports enthusiasts.

“Victory is the child of perseverance & determination”

Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji Kabaddi Academy organized an Athletic meet and games recently at the Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bilga where students of Akal Academy Bilga were invited to participate.

Events like Athletics, Football Match, Tug of war and Kabbadi Match were organised. The students also performed exceptionally in the march pass.

Davinder Singh & Sukhjot Singh student of Xth grade bagged the third position in the 100 M & 200 M race respectively.

Harmanpreet kaur, student of XIIth grade stood second in the 100 M, 200 M race.

Davinder Singh & Sukhjot Singh were awarded with bronze Medals and Harmanpreet Kaur was honoured with 2 silver medals.

Principal Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Sahni and staff welcomed them with appreciation for bringing the prestigious title home for the Academy whilst wishing them good luck for future events. She hailed the efforts put in by the sports teachers Mr. Satnam Singh and Ms. Sandeep Kaur.

An International writing and declamation competition was conducted in Akal Academy Bilga in the month of April this year by Kesh Sambhal Parchar Sanstha New Delhi. 25 students from Akal Academy Bilga participated in it. At a National level approx 550 students participated in it.

Student of Akal Academy Bilga Kawalpreet Kaur, XII Grade bagged the second position in it.

She was also invited to participate in declamation at Guru Nanak Public School Rajouri Garden, Delhi. In this competition Kawalpreet Kaur was honoured with a shield, certificates, a set of books along with a cash prize of Rs 2500/-.

Facilitating the spirit of sportsmanship, cooperation, mutual understanding of strength and stamina, Akal Academy Moolianwal organized a Sports Meet. Different activities were organized for the students to participate and refresh themselves amidst the hectic academic schedule. The students performed with zeal and in high spirits.

It is truly considered that through participation in sports and different games, students learn co-operation, teamwork, leadership skills and time management.

Sports help students to discover their hidden talents, help them interact with different people and make them learn about many things outside their own environment.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the Principal exhorted the efforts put in by the students & staff members making it a great success.

“There is NO agony than bearing an untold story inside You”

Akal Academy Kajri Niranjanpur organized Inter Class story writing competition for classes VI to VIII on 17 October,2015. Nearly 68 budding and aspirant writers took part in this competition with zest and zeal.

To maintain the originality in the work, the participants were given group wise themes on the spot to base their story. The themes to write upon as suggested by Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria were ‘Try Try again and You will win’. ‘Unity is Strength’, ‘A Stitch in Time Saves Nine’, ‘Honesty Pays Back ‘Truth wins at Last ‘.

Soon after getting the topics the little writers were seen lost in their thoughts to bring out the best ideas using aptly chosen characters, diction and event chronology to design their story.

English language teachers Mr. Sudhir, Ms. Navdeep, Mrs. Harpinder Kaur gave their props to the children to construct their work. Mr. Philip Xavier (Library Head and Media Group) captured the entire scene in clicks.

The Principal Mrs Simran Kaur Thind highly appreciated the efforts of teachers of Ajay House and Dept of English to make this event a new learning experience for the tiny writers.

Seven students of the school participated in Punjab School Football Games held at Muktsar recently.

Gagandeep Kaur, Simran Kaur, Parneet Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Jasmine Kaur and Amanpreet Kaur participated in the competition, of which four got selected for the National Camp.

Morning Assembly at Akal Academy is the most enriching experience for the students in their lifetimes, inculcating the habit to begin the day with a feeling of gratitude and spiritual rejuvenation.

Students of all the classes sit collectively to perform the daily prayer ritual of Nitnem and meditation followed by Ardaas which helps them develop and deepens the spiritual dimension of life.

Morning assembly has the potential to nurture a positive school ethos that stresses care for the self, others and the pursuit of all forms of excellence.
