The Celebrations of Teachers Day was marked with plantation drive conducted by the students as a tribute & expression of gratitude to their guiding light, their teachers.

Teachers are described as the custodians of future. They not only shape the life of their students but they mold and chisel raw minds into administrators, scientists, engineers and future leaders. On this day the entire student community respectfully recognized the contributions of teaching fraternity.

They paid respect to their teachers by committing themselves towards making our planet green.

Though such plantation drive, more and more people can be inspired to promote the importance of being at harmony with environment.

They students pledged to continue with its tradition of preserving environment and having eco-friendly activities.

Paying obeisance to The Eternal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and instilling devotional values among the children, Akal Academy Kajri started series of Sahej Paths on 1st September, 2015 in the School Darbar Sahib Hall.

The Divinity Department of the School in conjunction with School Teachers, Staff and Children expressed their solidarity observing the Paath and Shabad Kirtan.

The Principal Mrs. Simran Kaur Thind, Divinity Department head Mr. Jagbir Singh Ji, Mrs. Kiranjeet Kaur and all Teachers including Staff member along with Media Group, Mr. Philip Xavier had shown their participation in the programme.

Taking the initiative of sensitizing the learners about health, hygiene and prevention of most common and deadly vector-borne diseases like malaria, typhoid, dengue, Akal Academy Kajri conducted community awareness programme, an Anti-Malaria Awareness Rally in the vicinity of Kajri Niranjanpur village.

Students of class IX along with teachers of the school along with their parents residing in Kajri village had a supportive contribution towards creating a Public awareness about these health hazard diseases.

Well prepared with posters, slogan placards and spraying tools, students and teachers got onto the streets filled pot holes, sprayed pesticides, kerosene in the affected areas. The villages too joined this move and helped the teachers and students for this noble cause.

During the programme various street plays were presented to aware the public about Malaria and related water borne diseases.

Reaching the school, the principal, Mrs Simran kaur Thind appreciated the students and teachers and parents for their valuable contribution. Mr. Ashok Singh Guleria, Mr. Vijaypal Singh, Mr. Philip Xavier Mrs. Kanchan Mishra, Ms. Anshul Bhardwaj, Mr. Vikas Vajpai, along with school assistant Mr. Anup had their contribution to make this day a great learning experience.

The month of September in Akal Academy Gomtipul started with the pious celebration of “Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji” and it was a tranquilizing the beginning of the new month.

The celebration started at 8:00 am in the morning by early routine of Nitnem. After the recitation of nitnem, there was a bhog of Shri Sehaj Path ji. And after the very outset of the religious programme, there was a shabad by 8th class students which was followed by several other hymns.

Students sitting in the Darbar Sahib were filled with peace as they were altogether paying regards to the almighty god.

Speech delivered by the students enlightened our knowledge about Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. And there were few more programmes which included shabad and Kavishri.

In the end, students recited the bani of Anand Sahib and Ardaas was done to seek blessings of the almighty. All in all the ambience created by the hymns created a spiritual aura, giving all the students & the staff members energy to start the day.

Math’s Quiz allows the teachers to determine how much the students have understood the topics which are taught in the class. Teachers put in extra efforts to work hard with the students. Such quizzes make the subject more interesting and interactive for the students.

Students from third Grade to twelfth grade participated in the quiz. Questions according to age groups were prepared by their respective teachers. The students were suppose to solve without the aid of a calculator.

The students are divided into various groups and given a prescribed time limit to solve the questions. The teacher in this way analyses the weak areas in conceptual understanding of the student.

Quizzes like this helps to assess the mathematical skills, proficiency and aptitude of the students. Therefore they have become an integral part of our academic curriculum.

The intelligent minds answered the questions with enthusiasm, wisdom and confidence, their involvement was remarkable.

HR Ministry lauds district topper Akal Academy Muktsar. HR and Education Ministry, India issues Appreciation Letters to Akal Academy Muktsar for being district toppers in CBSE 10th boards. Teachers of all subjects in Class Xth get appreciation letters too.

Teachers work hard along with the students ensuring that there is no need for students to look for expensive tuitions or external guidance.

The most surprising part is that none of the students of Akal Academies are used to the tradition of taking tuitions; in fact the responsibility of support & guidance beyond schooling hours is fulfilled by the Academy staff, within the school itself, even if it has to be working beyond the stipulated hours.

We spoke to Principal, AA MUKTSAR, Ms Simbalpreet Kaur about this success and she added “We have been working hard on the academics and thanks to Almighty we have been amongst toppers in the district. Shortly I would like to say, in place of surprise tests there are weekly tests of every subject and to keep check on student’s progress, the inspection teams are evaluating the work of teachers twice or thrice during the session very thoroughly.

Different programs to develop communication are going on. I would like people to visit our School to find the difference rather than believing that Rural Punjab students cannot perform. We have found that the best talents exist in villages and we just have to provide the right opportunity and impetus”

Gaiety and patriotic fervour marked 69th Independence Day celebrations at Akal Academy, Theh Kalandar

Beautiful performances by the students depicted the unity in diversity of the country. Various activities were conducted which depicted the rich diverse culture of India. Students presented a melodious patriotic song. Students painted tricolor flag on their faces to enlighten their spirits for the day. Principal Teachers highlighted the importance of freedom, imbibing the qualities of leadership.

The Academy presented a mélange of patriotic activities, which created an atmosphere of national pride on the premises of the school’s campus.

Recently Akal Academy Bhadaur organized an Inter-House Divinity Poetry compilation & Recitation competition. It was conducted by Abhai House. The Punjabi teacher Mrs. Veerpal Kaur & Mrs. Satveer Kaur were appointed as the judges.

The students of 3rd and 4th grade participated in this activity. Students presented sensitizing ‘Kavita’ dedicated to life saga of Gurus, evoking Sikhism in the form of beautiful compilation. They eulogized the divine teachings of Sikhism in a poetic form.

Students were appreciated for their efforts and distributed prizes according to their performances.

ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਬਹਾਦਰਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੰਟਰ ਹਾਊਸ ਡਿਵਨਿਟੀ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਲੇਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਇਨ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ।ਅਭੀ ਹਾਊਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਵੀਰਪਾਲ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸਤਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ।

ਤੀਸਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਥੇ ਗਰੇਡ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਣ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ,ਸਿੱਖੀ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਝਲਕੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਹੱਦ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਵਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਿਰੋ ਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਜਜ਼ਬਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਲਬੱਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਤਕਸੀਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

Heroes are ordinary people who make their life extraordinary. With the objectives of enabling the learners to get a grip over the history and awareness about the historical events that shaped the destiny of India, Akal Academy Kajri organized Inter House Quiz programme on the theme “Our Great National Heroes” on 25 July 2015. The enthusiastic teams comprising all houses of the school zestfully participated in the programme.The quiz was anchored by Mr. Harpal Singh, Ajay House Master.

All the rounds of the quiz were zestfully prepared with each questions having link to historical events that happened across India. Each team by the end of the session had tough competition with other teams.

Mr. Sudhir Kumar, Mrs. Kanak, Mrs. Kanchan, Mr. Vattanpreet, Mr. Philip Xavier, Librarian Head and all housemasters were present on the occasion. The Principal during her brief appearance at the venue asked the teachers to remain updated with history and events and congratulated the winners and appreciated the house teachers and subject guides who prepared the children.

The competition concluded with the announcement of the winner house. In this competition Amul, Ajay and Abhai Houses remained at the top first position each and Atul House stood second.

“ਸਾਡੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਕੌਮੀ ਹੀਰੋ” ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ੨੫ ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕੈਡਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਊਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੜੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।’ਅਜੇਯ ਹਾਊਸ ਮਾਸਟਰ’ ਮਿ. ਹਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨਾ ਹੇਠ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਊਂਡਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰਤ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾਵਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਟੀਮ ਲਈ ਆਖਰੀ ਪਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਚਕ ਅਤੇ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਬਣਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ

ਇਸ ਕੁਇਜ਼ ਦੇ ਫਸਵੇਂ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਐਲਾਨੇ ਗਏ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮੁੱਲ, ਅਜੇਯ ਅਤੇ ਅਭੈ ਹਾਊਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਤੁੱਲ ਹਾਊਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਖੇਪ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਰਧਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਿਕ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਅਪਡੇਟ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਗਿਦਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਾਊਸ ਟੀਚਰਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁਧੀਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ,ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕਨਕ,ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਵਤਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ,ਮ੍ਰਿ. ਫਿਲਿਪ ਜ਼ੇਵੀਅਰ,ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਹੈੱਡ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਊਸ ਮਾਸਟਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
